Hello all,

Betty G asked me to post the latest information about her recovery from hip replacement surgery. She is in incredible pain, especially in her left leg where she may have a blood clot.

She went to her doctor and he ordered an ultrasound which was very difficult for Betty to endure.

She is exhausted and is having much difficulty with concentration and not getting pain relief.

She IS satisfied with home health folks, but they don't stay with her very long. I got the impression that she is just overwhelmed with pain and complications with her left knee.

Please keep Betty in your prayers. She isn't ready to accept phone calls. If you PM me and I recognize you, I will give you her address. I think she needs some cheering up.

More info when I get it.

Thanks......Janet

Oh, I'm so sorry for Betty - after all she's been through, now this.

Hopefully, they'll get it taken care of so she can recover quickly. My dad used to get blood clots in his legs all the time. Back in the olden days, they used hot compresses for relief.

Please let Betty know I'm praying for her and awaiting her return. [group hug]

So sorry to hear this. She was so excited about feeling better because of the surgery. It reminds me of Lymetoo and her trauma after gall bladder surgery. People with this illness just don't seem to do well when the body is tramatized (sp) by surgery.

Oh yeah. That was fun indeed. I always worry when someone here has to have surgery.

I hope Betty is improving each day.

I am waiting for an update from Betty but she hasn't been on her computer and her last message said she wasn't up for phone calls yet. So I have nothing new to report.

Please continue to keep Betty in your prayers. She was so excited about this surgery and had high hopes it would give her some relief with her hip pain. I am hoping she will get over this hurdle soon.

Janet

Betty, so sorry to hear what you've been going through since your surgery. Hope you continue to regain your strength & improve rapidly.

Will be checking to see how you're feeling.
For now, sending lots of hugs, support & concern!!

Would have responded sooner, but other responsibilities have really cut into my time on LymeNet.
Sure do miss y'all when I'm not checking in, but the worst part is that I get behind on the news about everyone.
I consider y'all part of my family.

eric, robin and cbb,

sincere thanks for all your thoughts and prayers during my surgery and my many post-complications!

yep, pretty sure it is a blood clot in my left leg/knee area. RN did certain exercises and filled me in.

i couldn't go thru the ultrasound from groin to knee. haven't been able to TOLERATE any pain from any of these ultrasounds. Goes to show how each of us is so unique.

last 24 hrs., my left knee and extreme foot swelling is DOWN! i could finally wiggle my entire foot, etc. swelling went up into 50% of my toes! never have had this prersonally to me, but that's dad for you.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! and your friendship means the WORLD to me. Best wishes to all of you an /

still so tired, so slep in hubby's air lift chair. on here reading 3 posts about me, and i'm totally wiped out.

if yuou are a newbie and sent me a reply askin for help; please asdk someone else as i'm NOT DEPENDABLE RIGHT NOW! [sleepy]
