The saga of Kam's computer is this.

First computer I put together and sent.
that all came out of my pocket. i donated it.
it was about $450 total with shipping.
Fedex crushed computer case in shipment,
was insured for $500, but won't pay me for claim.
they said it was packed incorrectly.
doesn't say anything on insurance about
packaging to fedex standards.

still fighting but it is probably a losing cause.
second computer i paid for was
$160 plus took parts from old broken computer.
let ups package and ship was $70 dollars.
so any donations would be helpful at this point for second one.

have paypal account at docdave130'at'msn.com
i would not usually ask for any donations but this is getting expensive, even with savaging
many parts.

i will keep a list and can post if you would like
of donations.
if i do get the money back from fedex i will
send all the money back.

thanks a bunch, and i'm very sorry for
asking

DocDave,,,

Never fear,,I am here!!

There were many donations previously I recieved. These are gratefully recieved and the generousity of the givers is most appreciated.

When the puter was dropped at 30,000 feet without a parachute,,,and I heard it was insured,,,I assumed all was well. Stupid me!!!

I committed to helping Kam then with any excess funds to geting her power chair back online and working,,,that was ,,,is,,, going to be $800-850. Of that I recieved about half donations and half I was going to kick in myself.

The chair is NOW fixed. I will pay that bill. I am now going to send Dave his necessary amount to cover his expenses of doing the puter,,,now I just need an amount of necessary funds on his part.AND an address.

This all worked out to the best of all parties,,just getting the money to cover all is the only bad part. They say timing is crucial to all life,,,just 'my' timing was OFF.

So IF there are any more donators that want to help out,,,this is the long and short, the unvarnished truth,,of how what and why this all evolved. No secrets,no lies,no coverups, nadda. Dont worry,,,we will ALL survive!!! With or without any additional donations!!

Wish all the previous contributors well and a long and happy (and healthier) future. Your contributions are so gratefully acknowledged and recieved____by Kam!!!me--just don-- [bonk] [bonk] [bonk]

don you have helped more than enough.
kam is a special person to have some angels helping her.

lets wait a couple more days i may get the money from donations.
people are asking for my address to send checks.
pm me if you want my address, i do not want to post it for fear that caveeey may come looking for me after the grochy women remark on another post.

i will email all that i get a check from.
also have one paypal for $30 from last time.

if not i will foot this bill also.

sometimes nice docdave [Wink]

Not many coins thrown into the basket while I was doing my pole dance at the Harbor today.

You're not going to shoot me with that pig innoculator if I don't send them your way are you?
