ARIAT INTRODUCES PERFORMANCE APPAREL WITH INSECT
REPELLENT TECHNOLOGY
Ariat Partners with BUZZ OFFTM Insect Shield, LLC in Equestrian Market Exclusivity

(HealthNewsDigest.com) - Ariat offers a collection of BUZZ OFFTM garments for those seeking protection from outdoor elements and biting insects. Launching in Spring 2007, performance fabric and construction will be combined with BUZZ OFFTM insect repellant technology - a sale and odorless insect repellant bonded to the fabric of each garment. Products will include: pull-on tights, a zip top, pullover and cap. In addition to the insect-repellant finish, Ariat's BUZZ OFFTM garments will feature an MMTTM finish that pulls moisture away from the skin to keep you dry and comfortable. A breathable mesh located on the top and pullover provides ventilation for maximum comfort and freedom of movement. The combination of the above offers customers the most technologically advanced performance apparel available.

``We are excited to introduce this exclusive technology to the equestrian industry'', said Beth Cross, chief executive officer and founder of Ariat. ``As a leader in innovative equestrian apparel, our partnership with BUZZ OFFTM Insect Shield, LLC is a natural fit. In addition to superior performance apparel, we can now offer our customers the added benefit of a clothing long-awaited solution to the problem of annoying and potentially dangerous insects''.

BUZZ OFFTM is the first-ever EPA-registered insect-repellent clothing, dramatically reducing the need for bug repellent. It has been thoroughly tested and proven effective on a variety of mosquitoes, ticks, ants, flies, chiggers and ``no-see-ums''.

Ariat's BUZZ OFFTM garments repel insects that can carry diseases such as malaria, viral encephalitis, the West Nile virus Lyme disease by using permethrin, a man-made version of a natural insect repellent. The garments retain their effectiveness against these disease-spreading bugs through 25 washes, and can be machine-washed using standard laundry detergent.

About BUZZ OFF Insect Shield, LLC
BUZZ OFF Insect Shield, LLC introduced the first insect repellent apparel registered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Buzz OffTM Insect Shield Insect Repellant Apparel is the most effective new tool in over 50 years in man's battle against insects and insect-borne diseases - a completely new way to protect against annoying and potentially dangerous insects. CAlyme

thanks for posting this [Smile] Really good news!

I read the fact sheet on buzz off link but it didn't say what it's treated with.

Do you know what they treated the clothing with?

Thanks [Smile]
Dana
