While in the grocery store today...and about at my limit for being out and about...

I was beginning to fade quickly. I would look at the fresh fruits and vegatables and they would look back at me and nothing happened. None of them were jumping in my basket on my lap.

They were just there and I was just there. I decided it was time to go home.

While cruising in my power chair towards the pharmacy inside the grocery store, I saw a guy with something very large and strange in his ears.

I had to ask. I could just see the back or post but it was very big.

You are not going to believe this.

He turned around and the large disc shaped post was holding a bullet casing ...bullets included.

It looked like there were about 5 bullets...but I assume most casings hold 6 so it must have been six.

He had somethign in the other ear too that was large, but it was enough for my mind to absorb the one ear.

I cruised off thinking perhaps my brain isn't so bad.

Dear Kam,

That sight would have made my day.

As I negotiate Walmart, with or without my children,

I often wonder how many people are in there feeling as bad as I do....

I am sure there are a few....The good news is that we look so "good" for being so sick!

No one could look at me and think....Oh my gosh, she is about to pass out....She looks like she is struggling to get a good breath.

They might be able to tell that the bottom of my feet are killing me as I kind of shuffle now,

but maybe they just think I had a Wild night and am now paying for my debauchery. ( I wish)

Sometimes by the time I get to the check out, I am praying that I just make it out of the store.

Then I have to face that daunting task of pushing cart (with children in it),

plus 100lbs of groceries to the back of the parking lot.

We have a 15 passenger van (my husbands idea of a family van).

It can only be parked where I can take up more than one space.

My brain is usually on over load by this time. It is shutting down and so is my poor old body.

I've thought about ordering groceries from the internet and have them shipped in,

but I try to retain some normalcy in my life and for my children.

Hang in there.

One day you won't have to worry about those veggies jumping into your basket.

Hugs,

Geneal
