I haven't been to Lymenet in ages (since probably 2002). I posted on the old board as North* but couldn't find my login info so created a new login.
My brief story is that I got full blown Lyme which even though I was able to get aggressive treatment, didn't respond to a heavy Doxy regimen, or to other holistic stuff I was doing, so I took the plunge and built a Rife machine from Jim Bare's excellent instructions.
I remember getting the Rife machine assembled just after 4th of July in 2001. The first week I used it, I thought I was going to die from the herxing, and I basically did nothing but sleep and lounge around for the first 3-4 days of use. But I started to feel a bit better, and used the Rife machine daily. (I also used coffee enemas to help detox my liver, and that made a HUGE difference.)
After 3 or 4 months of daily use (probably about 90 minutes of treatment with a mix of frequencies for Lyme, babs, and ehrlichiosis) I was pretty much good as new. I had a few spells of minor low energy here and there over the next year, but a couple sessions with the Rife machine and I was fine.
I've been well and normal energy pretty much since 2003, and have been too busy to stop back in, but the folks in this forum were so wonderful and supportive that I just wanted to drop back by and say hello and try and cheer on those of you who are struggling and feel there's no light at the end of the tunnel.
While I can't say the Rife is a magic cureall, I know of several other folks that used the Rife machine and had good luck with it in addition to my own experience, and I do think it's worth considering if you've not had good luck with other approaches.
I'll try to check in now and then, but you can also email me through the board with q's or whatever and I'll do my best to answer.
Take care, and once again, thanks much to all the wonderful people who helped to support me while I was searching and healing.

Hi - someone gave me a Rife machine recently. I've been leery to try since I heard herxing can be big. Do you know if it's possible to control the amount of herxing by limiting the amount of exposure to the Rifing -- either by amount of time or kind of frequencies? I would like to have only mild herxing, as I am the only one taking care of me and I can't afford to be out of it...

Absolutely! Very easy to do. Just run 2 min the first time and slowly increase until you get a reaction.
You can also run it for other things....like YEAST! Awesome!

This is great and makes me feel hopeful.
My sister was just diagnosed with Lyme and she went for the Rife machine right away. She has hardly any symptoms right now.
Meanwhile, she's been begging me to come to her house to rife with her but she's 35 miles away and I'm too darned sick to get there. She can't come to me because her SON has Lyme, too, and she's homeschooling and providing him nursing care.
So, you'll never guess what she, her husband, and my dad are surprising me with! They just bought me my own Rife machine as a gift!
I sobbed because I was so touched that they would do this for me!
It should be here at my house soon.
Will let you all know how well it works for me!
