I am sooo mad today! I went down to get my picc line and the hospital doesnt have my order! This was after calling back this morning to see when my appt was suppose to be, they say 1, OK, will be ther!

The office is closed so they cant get through til lunch is over. So WAIT! I call back to the office another 45 minutes later, as I have continued to sit!!!! [Mad] By now, I am MAD!

And they say, well, Dr says you should wait until Friday to get the picc line in and start tx on Monday!

[rant] AND WHY THE H$@^% AM I HAVING TO CALL YOU TO FIND THIS OUT????? [rant]

Oh, and by the way, he has you scheduled for 5 txs with Rocephin....

5 [confused] 5 wont do a thing for me!!!!

Well thats we he said, was 5......

[rant] NO_ I DONT THINK SO!!!!!!!! [rant]

So I go down there....32 minutes later, sitting in the room, waiting, I LEFT! WALKED OUT!

He calls me 5 minutes later....

"seems there was some major miscommunication"

YOU THINK!?!?!?!?!?!? Your front is a disaster and you want me to entrust my care to you all?????

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [cussing] FURIOUS!!!

Like I havent been through enough in the past 8 1/2 years and now I have to deal with this!?! And the frickin kicker is he is probably the only one in this area that I can get to treat me!!!!

Stress.....yeah, mine is kicking my butt right now.

Ok...........I feel a little bit better...so now they have my picc line scheduled for Friday and tx starting up Monday @ 8:30.

On one hand I am nervous, but on the other, after this cluster....maybe there will be a bit more "care" given to my case. SCARY PLACE!!!! [Eek!]

Have you checked with your insurance co to see how many treatments they will allow? Not that I want you to get any more stressed than you are???

Watch your blood pressure too.

Yes. 14-28 days on IV so I think we can get the 28 days approved.

That's what my MD did. At the end of 4 weeks and I had only had 1 good day, he requested another 2 weeks. I hope you have many more and rochepin helps you.

After that 2 weeks later I traveled to Missouri to a LLMD and tested highly IgM positive for lyme antibodies. My MD was so glad he finally had a positive western blot for me, because he felt like the heat was off of him and his abx oral & IV treatment for over those 2 yrs weren't going to be questioned by the powers that be.
