Dear Friends and Family,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
First, I need to let you know I have forwarded all my snail mail to a post office box.
My new mailing address is
The first part of the year was the hardest on me since I came down with this. When I went by the mortuary in town in my old power chair, I could see myself laying in the hearse in a casket.
I knew I would at last be at rest.
There also was an abundance of obituaries on the lyme web site of people not making it with this disease.
People I had just talked to on line that seemed like they were doing better than I was.
It seems since the move to the new apartments things have improved.
I got to go see my lyme doc, I got the car, I got the power chairs, I had more help, a friend who has lyme started supplying some of the supplements my lyme doc wanted me to add to my protocol, 3 other people with lyme provided the xango for me, I no longer was breathing in smoke as I was coming from the old apartment building vents, it is quieter and more friendly here, and the Ketek started to kick in.
I was no longer waking up feeling like a truck had run me over in the night.
I am learning to pace myself and take better care of myself.
Instead of over doing it and needing to be down for several days.
I also am learning that certain things I eat make me worse
I'd like to say I am no longer getting that really bad head stuff and the feeling someone is poking me in the eye with a stick, but as soon as I think it is gone it pops its ugly head.
There are lots of symptoms to still work on. As I am lying here the pain in the body is getting to be too much and I am struggling to finish this.
The brain is also struggling as it is limited on how much I can ask of it at one time.
But, I have a lot to be thankful for.
When I cruise by the mortuary in my newly used power chairs I no longer can see myself laying in a casket in the hearst.
I am at rest in the power chair and glad to be out.
Hoping you have a very good 2008.

kam, outstanding! i didn't get a chance to read the 1st version; ran out of time.
as a lymie, i walked the entire course of your letter feeling WHAT YOU FELT, and glad by the end; you had a different perspective than the start.
kam, you have come a LONG WAY since last year. you truly AMAZE me over and over again. you are my inspiration of a positive role model overcoming every adversity thrown at you!
may God reach out creating a true miracle for your life so that you can take all you have learned her, and teach so many others in the wonderful way you have of writing and doing!

Thank you.
I just realized I forgot to add the computer from Doc Dave too.
Wouldn't even be able to be on line or write the Christmas letter without it.
Thank you Doc Dave.
