Tonight is American Idol on Fox. 8pm EST???
I think tonight we will see a guy who came and sang "Mary Did You Know?" at our church right before Christmas.
He was REALLY REALLY good! He used to perform at the same theater my husband performed at for 6 1/2 yrs. (hubby, not Jason) I think Jason quit the job to audition for American Idol.
His girlfriend told me that he made it through to Hollywood, so I at least know that. I think I saw him on the preview clip last night.
So .. join me in cheering for Jason. Sorry, this lymehead can't remember his last name!!

It's my guilty secret! If anyone catches me watching it, I plan to mumble something about the writer's strike and then quickly pick up a copy of Dostoyevski (note to self: purchase copy of Dostoyevsky for pretend reading)(second note to self: figure out how to spell "Dostoyevski")

I'm "forced" to watch it because I have two teenage daughters. Great bonding experience to curl up in front of the tube together and critique everyone. If you can't beat em-join em.
To have Jason to keep track of makes it even more of a "must watch" (sigh). I may even try to impress my gals and declare- I know that guy!

Well, I feel kinda stupid today (more than usual! ) I never spotted him, but am sure he was on.
I know he's from Texas (so he should have been on last night), I know he made it thru to Hollywood, and I feel certain I saw him on the clip Tues night.
I WAS on the phone briefly last night during the show, but could swear I watched while on the phone.
But alas....never saw him!
So what's Antonella doing these days??

So, I'm curious . . . I would love to watch American Idol and keep up with the young hopefuls . . .
however, I wonder how anyone CAN watch it.
Am I to assume that the whirling spotslights, other light fluctuations, audio ups and downs, etc. . . . and general overhyped energy ( or is it just normal and I can't take it?). ..
well . . . am I the only one who feels like it's a torture zone ?
Do you all do just fine with it ?
Even just the applause . . . does that not seem like millions screaming and each one hitting your head with a flyswatter? As applause is interspersed, and not just after a song, you have to be very fast on the mute button . . . or is that just me, too?

Considering the fact my TV is 15 inches it's not too overwhelming. I also watch from a recliner-so I put my head back, close my eyes, and just listen-it narrows the show down to a single sensation-and you can control the volume.

Lymetoo, he probably was at that audition, but his didn't make it on the air.
Jordan Sparks doesn't live far from me.
She was at an audition my daughter went to. My daughter didn't get cast in The Wiz (gee, wonder why)...
Jordan did!
This was about four years ago. Daughter's illness was just getting overwhelming, so it was a blessing.
