my sister called. they called 911 and the paramedics took mom to the er where they admitted her.

since she broke her arm, she's gone down hill fast. she got this terrible flu and they didn't give her anything for it, so now they say she has pneumonia.

my one siser who is staying with her said she found her asleep on the couch, she had lost control of all body functions, was comatose and not responding. running a high fever....

since i came home i have had this feeling, sort of premonition, of my mother dying. i just knew, i mean i knew, this was her last christmas.

mike said his grandmother went the same way, went into the hospital for something, got pneumonia, then lost consciousness, body functions, anyway she died about a week later.

i know that the underlying disease is lyme, but nobody would listen to me, so i'll drop it.

i feel bad because i am so very ill with this acute bronchitis. how in the heck can i drive 1200 miles, cause we can't afford airline tickets even with bereavement reduction, like i am now? i can't even go get the mail without wheezing like crazy, and forget about sleeping. i've had no sleep in three days.

if anything happens, i'll be a basket case trying to drive home, not to mention my sisters who will literally fall apart. well my one sister will be relieved because she never wanted to take care of mom in the first place.

i guess every family must go through this at one time or another huh?

Randibear,

I'm so very sorry to hear of what you and your family are going through. When you say that you guess every family must go through this at one time or another...even if so, it still doesn't make the painful experience any easier to deal with.

Please keep us posted on how she is doing. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Cathy

Dear Randi,
I hope your Moms fever breaks and she wakes up and it's all better!!! And if your premonition was correct I hope the end is peaceful-
Best wishes,
