I'm so worried about my 2 yr. old. She was sick about 5 wks. ago with a fever of 104.7. She ran a little bit of a fever for a couple of days and then had a low temp. of about 96.0

Now she is sick again. Almost a week ago she had a fever of 102.3 and still isn't feeling well. I just had to call the doc b/c her temp. is 95.0 He said if it gets any lower to bring her to ER.

Of course I'm thinking of the 4 wk. cycle. I already had Lyme or Myco or both while pregnant with her although I didn't know it at the time.

Please pray that my little girl doesn't have this dreaded disease. [Frown]

Laura,

You've and child have my thoughts/prayers to overcome this fever.

fyi, for adults our temps run UNDER 98.6; I do NOT know about kids.

best to keep close eye on this and if questionable, go IMMEDIATELY TO ER!

keep us informed ok! [group hug] [kiss]

I check my children's temp via the ear frequently.

They complain of being "hot". Just to make sure they don't have a fever.

I am always amazed to see 97.1.

I am praying for you and your baby.

Hugs,

Geneal

Thank you for your kind words.

Her temp is back up to normal today but she's still not herself.

I guess I'm really going to have to keep an eye on the 4 wk. cycle.

She is getting tested next week but not by a LLMD. She's also due for another vaccination that I'm nervous about for a couple of reasons.

Most of my symptoms surfaced after receiving a flu shot and I don't want the same to happen to her, and I'm worried about the preservative in vaccines that is presumed to cause autism.

Thank you mtree,

I actually already am doing this for myself and for her and I'm glad I did. That is how I noticed the 4 wk. thing. Hopefully it is just coincidence.

Oh, I feel your pain. We have one son who's been battling Lyme for five years. We have two other healthy children, and I am soooo hyper-aware of their every complaint.

My husband is nervous that I'm going to turn them into little hypochondriacs. (He's a wonderful husband/dad, don't get the wrong idea there).

Have you ever heard of a digital analysis? I'm not sure why I don't hear more about this. We have our son tested regularly to see how effective our treatment is. As far as I know, this is an accurate, relatively inexpensive way to see if there is any infection present.

I would do this before any kind of unreliable test at the regular Dr.. I even prefer it to Igenex. Let me know if you want to know more. You could probably google this to find someone who does it where you live??? I don't know. I just want to be helpful.

For the record, in light of what we know about this battle, I don't think we can be too cautious, right? We want to catch things as early as possible.

I will also be praying for you.

can you tell me what a digital analysis is? i have a 2 1/2 year old that i worry may have this because i may have had it while pregnant too. i worry every time he gets sick etc. i asked my llmd and she said he would have clear symptoms by now, so no need to worry. after reading more about it, i think i now want to look into it more to be sure. how would i find someone to do this?

I'd like to hear more about the digital analysis as well. I'm also interested in what people think here about the comment above regarding vaccines and autism. My daughter just turned one and will go for a bunch of vaccines at her 1 year appointment next week.

I would definitely hold off on that next vaccination!!!

Just realized myself last week after dealing with lyme since 2004 that in Fall of 2003 I had my first flu vaccination ever.

By December I was unable to work and by Jan. was out all the time. Looking back now I wonder if the flu shot was what put my immune system over the edge.......I was already sick with Lyme and Babesia......but I got so much sicker after that shot.
