Woke up at 6 am. Too dark to hit the trail. So, I checked lymenet.
What a nice surprise to see that you all had remembered my birthday.
thank you for the nice words and well wishes.
Now, I am going to check for directions about a new trail head I heard about.
I'll let you know if I find it.
not sure what I will be able to do today. But, am planning on being able to walk at least 20 min on a trail...perhaps even twice today.
I did get some sleep last night too wish is a plus and a rarity.

This is the trail I tried this am. The good news is that in the past when I have looked at the directions on how to get there I was in a fog.
This am, the directions where a piece of cake.
Over did it though. In pain now and am in need of rest. Hiked or walked the trail for 25 min...to long for this lyme brain to be on the trail.
1:30 pm Able to get groceries. thank ful for the funds and the ability to get them. RAn out of umph which is a good thing as I was getting close to running out of funds too.
When I got home the house had been cleaned by the housekeeping person. This is good. She even cleaned the oven which has not been cleaned in a year.
Glad she was here as she put the freezer and refrigerated stuff away.
Resting now and then I will put the un frig stuff away.
And get something to eat. Hungry now, but too exhausted to fix something.
So far, not a bad day....I like it when I am able to do a little, rest and then do a little more.
Still need to do something fun. Not sure what yet. Thought of something and then forgot what it was.
Lyme Brain you know...teflon brain...nothing sticks.

Thinking I will just stretch my birthday out all week since it takes me all week.
Got a surprise package of goodies left outside my door this am.
Thinking of trying to go to the movies to see Juno if it is still playing today. Have not tried to go to the movies since I moved here 2 and a half years ago.
Went in my old town and had to leave as it was too hard on the body and brain. Hoping it works this time.
Also a neighbor left me the name of a person who is willing to groom Rosie for free. It is now costing me $60 to get her groomed every 2 months.
So, hoping this person works out as it would be nice to use the $60 towards medicine and food instead or gas for the car.
Went for a drive yesterday to the verde river. It is 9 miles west of me on a dirt road. I have been wanting to do that since i moved here almost a year ago.
Got to mile 8 and found the rest of the road was closed. There was a sign nearby warning of flash floods.
Did find another trail head while out and a road to a mine and the Baby Doll Ranch. The mind was called jimney cricket or some strange name for a mind. Wondering what they use to mine.
Nice to be able to explore the area I live in.
The Baby Doll Ranch has a lot of land and the housing was set in a very nice place as you came around the bend.
it was down in the valley. Had an old adobe building and a barn with what looked like large boulders in the walls....need binoculars to really see it and two other older homes.
Looked like it had some history.
As I was heading out at sunset, several cars were heading in. Figured they lived on the ranch.
I think it would be rough driving on that dirt road every day into town. I think it took me 30 to 45 min to go 8 miles.
I know my body and brain were pretty much shot by the time I headed back home.
Crossed 3 creeks on the way and so thankful I made it across. Part of the road was so muddy that if I did not stay within the tracks already set I would have been stuck in the mud.
I recalled when I first started driving again a few months ago after years of not driving, I was so tense and would white knuckle it.
But, my old driving skills are slowly returning. I just don't last long.
And I recall before I go to sick to work and do household chores that I kept looking for something to put in my car seat as my body was so stiff and sore after only driving for about an hour.
Looking back...wondering it was due to lyme..another mystery symptom before my body shut down on me.
My body was stiff and sore while driving yesterday on the way back although this car is very comfortable.
I do think a cell phone would be a good idea and extending my AAA towing insurance now that I am able to get further than 5 or 10 minutes from home at times.
Thanks again for your birthday wishes. I am so thankful for lymenet.
I have become so isolated since coming down with this and have yet to find a friend locally that I can do things with.
Health is just not there yet to deal with most people and places, but improving slowly.
