A recommendation for those with headaches and/or neck pain. FWIW

We use natural baltic amber teething necklaces for our little ones. They have been really amazing. I can't explain it, although a quick google will show you some anecdotal evidence and explanation as to how it works. I just know that for my family (and many other friends) it does work.

Anyway, last year a friend was running a coop to purchase amber necklaces and the company had options for adult necklaces. So I bought coordinating necklaces for all of us. Shortly after my neck pain started to decrease. I was thankful, but didn't put two and two together until later. I took my necklace off for swimming and forgot to put it back on. The next day my neck was so cramped up. A couple days later I remembered my necklace, put it back on, and had relief once again.

Anyway - its a stylish and inexpensive thing to check out and it certainly has no bad side effects. Make sure you look for natural amber, not some plastic look alike. There are ways to tell the difference, for instance natural amber tastes like soap. [lick] (Just kidding! You don't actually eat or lick the stuff. Taste is one way to verify that its not a plastic knock-off.)

Wow....Another way to tell is that natural amber will stay warm when held.

Sounds cool, but surprised to hear you say it was inexpensive!

Well I got mine through a Co-Op of moms, so I guess it was wholesale. I think my necklace, which has quite large beads, was about $20 by the time you factor in shipping. The kids' necklaces were only $7. If you pay retail, you just have to shop around. They can be as much as $50 at some places.
