Dang it!! Was doing something good for me, (taking a self-defense class) and broke my right arm Thursday night.

This is the THIRD time just for that arm. Don't even want to mention the other broken bones.

If I was to start naming them off it would sound like 'The 12 Days of Christmas'!

Course it might be real fun to come up with some kinda ditty that would put a smile on everyone's face including mine.

Thanks once again all for letting me vent and cry and moan.

Sheepishly, aklnwlf [Roll Eyes]

Aaaaarg!

I only ever broke a toe (over and over again with my lyme ataxia,) but that was distressing enough even though it wasn't debilitating.

I hope it heals quickly!

You too, bandit.

Bummer!!!! Have you had a bone scan done??? You might have osteoporosis.

This is just what you needed!!! [bonk] [Roll Eyes] [shake]

I've never broken anything....except cracked some fragile bones in my wrist when I was playing tennis as a pre-teen.

Take care you yourself!! "Grace in action" is what I call my clumsiness!! [Big Grin]

How embarrassing. Went to an endocrinologist and he MADE me tell him all the broken bones and sure enough he ordered a bone scan.

Heh, I just went to him for all the low hormones and stuff.

Wednesday I'm going to the Ortho doc and have a full cast put on. I can't wait because this half cast isn't cutting it.

I'm wondering if this has anything to do with Lymies having low vitamin D?

I'll let you all know the verdict on how long. The other 2 times I broke this arm it took 6-8 weeks in a cast and I was good to go after that.

Thanks again you all for the support. It means alot to me. [kiss]

I've read some research showing that natural progesterone creme actually allows the body to build up bone mass after osteoporosis.

Many of us have low hormone levels due to lyme in the adrenals, and also lyme in the pituitary.

I am so sorry you broke your arm again.

I dont know how I have mananaged not to break any bones. I fall and bump into stuff often. My clumsiness has mostly just gotten me sprains and strains which due to my atrophy make it take 2 - 3 times longer to heal.

I hope your arm heals up and stays that way this time [group hug]

Thanks for the wonderful support everyone!

Have a concealed weapon permit already and carry a Taurus 7 shot .38 revolver. Taking self defense out of necessity.

Also have a .45 semi automatic but is getting a bit hard on my wrists.

Am having a dexascan tomorrow and am hoping my bones are ok.

My hormones are shot-so low and didn't realize lyme could effect bones.

Having bloodwork done in 2 weeks, basic stuff and ACTH level.

Am going to be surprised if I have osteoporosis cause I've exercised quite a bit before getting sick.

I'll post and let you all know what I find out.

[hi]
