Is there some sort of place we can go for even a few days to give our families a break from this horrid disease? I feel like I'm getting yelled at for things that I just can't help and it's driving a horrid wedge in my family.

I think that even just a few days of letting my husband off the hook so he doesn't have to worry and it would be someone else taking care of matters would do so good in cases like this.

Does such a place exist? I'm not holding up well lately and his yelling is making me just want to go someplace to escape. I know he's tense and doesn't mean to be getting upset, but I think enough is enough and I think we both could use the break from each other.

Suggestions?

Cathy

Oh, Cathy,
I'm sorry your going through this.

I have no suggestions other than to say don't be so hard on yourself.

Going away for awhile won't ease his sense of concern or his feelings of helplessness.

This disease is doing this to your family, you're not at fault!!!

Your in my thoughts and prayers [kiss]

Man, that stinks! I know of no place like you mention.

Can you get outside help to come in one or two days a week??

Would that help? Did I see somewhere that you fell??

If you are on disability, check with your worker for respite options.

Or just google "respite" in your area.
