We had Chinese take out.
My fortune cookie read:
"Think of danger while things are going smoothly"
I ask you, WHAT ARE THE ODDS?!!
I thought fortune cookies were supposed to be pleasant. Everyone else got good ones, or at least ones that didn't make a whole lot of sense, but couldn't be interpreted as bad.
Oh well, C'est la vie!

Thanks Betty & mtree!
Apparently your prayers for me were answered.
I went to Princeton Medical Center & the doctor who placed it this time was an angel. He made sure it was THOROUGHLY numbed before doing the insertion.
I only felt a pinch & some stinging, other than that everything went MUCH more smoothly this time.
I looked up his name, because I promptly forgot it (of course ). It was Dr. Compito if anyone's interested.
Darn it! It went smoothly, NOW am I supposed to be "thinking of danger"? LOL
Hopefully you guys warded off the danger for me, so I won't have to worry about it anymore.
Thanks again!
Ali

Betty,
I guess I forget that not everyone knows "Princeton". It's "University Medical Center at Princeton" in Princeton, NJ.
I don't know that Dr.Compito is particularly "LL" but he is very compassionate & understanding of hypersensitive nerves. He does not Dx/Tx Lyme.
I'm sure you probably realized that, but my head is really scrambled right now , so forgive me if I'm re-stating something you already know.

BIG PS- I was dismissed as SOMATOFORM by a very well-respected ID who is affiliated with Princeton Medical Center. He had run all kinds of tests, but NO TBD tests.
I would ONLY recommend them (more specifically HIM) for the PICC placement procedure because my last placement there was not so pleasant .
