My job requires that I work on the computer pretty intensely.
When I am finished, I am dazed as if in another world for up to an hour. I mean, I can barely carry on a conversation; I can't see, I can't get my thoughts straight.
This is similar to my condition when I am having a very bad day. (I have neuro-Lyme, with mainly cognitive/perception symptoms.)
But maybe this is what happens to EVERYONE, even without LD?
Thanks! mazou

hi mazou,
your post brought back work memories for me...not the dazed feeling but about being on pc and ALL LIGHTS, ETC.
since i'm EXTREMELY SENSITIVE TO LIGHTS/NOISE/SMELLS....
i have all my overhead flurescents shut off but 1 single bulb; hallways were darkened much to my co-workers dismay.
i had a sheet of post board but heavier stuff that are used for graphs etc. and it was placed over my CORNER PC area and TAPED down so NO LIGHT could get in.
my pc contrast/brightness was brought as LOW as i could get it...
sounds..co-worker got a printer sound cover so noise stayed inside there...
where i worked at the end; i had them install 2 big doors to keep noise inside those rooms;
stayed away from folks with perfume, cologne, hairspray, those who smoked and it was on their clothing, and office/cleaning supplies...
i do NOT know if that might with your dazed feeling, but sharing how i handled these things. best wishes!

this could be an EMF issue.. i get this reaction too, sometimes, and i believe i have mild to moderate EMF sensitivities.

Thanks, Bettyg, how awful that sounds! I do keep my work area very tranquil, and my screen is low emission, so it is much better than it used to be.
I used to use such a big monitor that I felt like I was getting a sunburn on my forehead!
Heiwalove, I will look into the EMF sensitivities. I never thought of that. Thanks.

I think computers can also off gas. Get a fan and pull any potential fumes away from you.
Also get up and stretch every so often. lmt
