i will be shopping for children this year.

sizes 5 and 7...

uh, is that children's or what? since i've never had kids, i don't understand...

i went to walmart and the tags all said like 6-8 or 10-12 or something...

is this pre-teen or teenagers? surely not...

if it's size 5 and 7, could i buy the 6-8 and would it fit?

i'd like to get ski jackets but i don't know what size either?

sorry, but i'm clueless when buying for kids unless it's toys...

and i'm getting those too, but thought clothes would be really nice...

Hmmmm.

If they are children then a size 6/7 should fit

The 5 year old with a little room to grow.

Depending on his/her size of course.

My 7 year old still wears 6/6x's as she is petite.

However an average sized child could probably wear an 8 easily.

Can you get more specific info from Julie about your children?

If not, pm me and let me see if I can help.

Hugs,

Geneal

the 7 year old could wear a 7/8. My daughter is tall and she wears an size 8. If you get it from walmart you could get a gift receipt and include it in your gift. There are plenty of walmarts around that the parents could take it back and get a different size.

Your very generous.

well i love to shop and since they're from a cold state, i thought ski jackets, couple of outfits, adn they have this adorable sleeping bag and them some crayons, puzzles, and jewelry...

maybe a couple of dolls or stuffed animals...

i tend to get carried away but when its small children, my heart just breaks and i want to buy them everything.

i'm a sucker for small children and animals...

the sizes should have been included in the email they sent julie (for example: size 8/10 top, size 10/12 bottom, size m, etc, etc). so i would double check with her to make sure they didn't send the info

otherwise, i'm sure she can pm/email them and get an answer quickly

usually a 5 yr old will wear a 5/6 but there are cases where that doesn't always work. my son is 6 and most kids his age wear a 7/8 with room to grow but my child wears a 10 bottom and 12 top. he's soooo tall (which is funny since i'm a whopping 5')

Size 5 & 7 can be juniors/teen sizes. Junior/teen sizes are cut different from misses sizes 4 & 6.

Although if you get a ski jacket this will not matter but sometimes, it's a good idea to buy a little larger size if a garment will shrink when washed or dried.
