<<<<< Lymer Family >>>>>,

AS if there weren't enough issues that Lymers face, we [Txc' and me] can't seem to get a break right now.

For Any who have been following our attempts to get thru all our trials lately there is an underlying problem. Always seems to be... [Roll Eyes] anymore.

We are living next to 'The Neighbors from
"Banshee pit" Hell'. As many of you know we lost Our job and Housing and my Mom died in the middle of it all. We came back from her funeral in May to find new nighbors moved into the trailor park on he back side of us.

They had their childrens toys spread all over the place including the back half of our property. These are mostly older rental trailers in the 'park',a few are privately owned.

We don't use the back half of our lot much as renters here, but we don't appreciate a basketball hoop literally against our trailor wall [not fun to have balls bouncing off the trailor near windows and sleeping areas]. Nor do we want to have to clean up after their dogs, and we can't afford more fencing.

They got angry when we asked then to take their things off of our part of the property, and remove their hose from our yard irrigation water pipe. And then they brought Banshee-asuarus Rex the Husky mix home.

The dog howls and screams like a banshee, often for hours and hours, because after it did the usual puppy chews furniture bit,it got consigned to a kennel...across from our bedroom window,of course.

The dog breaks loose, and has already gotten in to our living area once and peed. I opened the door to find out why my dogs were barking in an upset manner... and there was the Banshee beast.

Finally after putting up w/ this mess for months and trying to reason w/ the neighbors. We were among several neighbors who called in to animal-control/police.

Mr. Banshee-bad-daddy came over hear screaming at us,that it wasn't his dog howling, its the nature of animals, its other naighbors dogs...and the _***_ was going to end. So we called the police/animal control back, and our landlord too.

We've put up w/ basketballs thrown against our walls more than once, and asked them to please stop. Now it is increasing, several times yesterday, their kids and friends hurled the balls over here, on Thanksgiving.

They remove hoses from our pipe[ a friend who lives in front of us,has been working on their moms water lines, and borrowed water from us,w/ our permission... so we knew and okayed it.

BansheeBad Dad tattles...theres somebody using your water...boohoo...you told us my children couldn't use it...etc. like it was his business.

These people interupted our Thanksgiving and our phone calls...w' the banging basketballs against the wall, yelling, animals schreeching. In summer/fall,they let pets [and kids] from the smell, crap under our air conditioner-windows 'til we took out our air-con.

Okay,we've tried to be nice...and don't want to have to move before spring...unless it is a job offer and move. They evidently have a different landlord than ours. Our landlords are not happy w/ our neighbor. And we don't have enough money to extend teh bit of fencing that exists.

Landlord says,go ahead and report continuing problems and such... neither of us,is sleeping very well. We cannot let our dogs out on their leads w/o standing w/ them,in the cold .

'Banshee hell pit' neighbors have even blocked our driveway, and the neighbor ahead of us parking area as well. TxC' has a number he can call to have stuff towed if neccesary. Banshee neighbors are already making this a nightmare.

They've yealled at us/and the Animal control-officer/police.And gripe about everyone else. Insisting it is all others dogs, causing issues.

Uhm,NO...I see their dog from my windows as it howls yelps screams cries, and tries to chew thru the kennel wires, TxCoord took it home when it broke loose and got into our living area and peed. It ISN"T someone elses dog. Its Banshee Bads dog... his wife is tired of it,but still acts the snot...

Any advice/opinion'tho'ts ,aside from packing up and moving,if we can find somewhere else??? We are so weary and run down...and still trying to get the last of our things from the 'church situation'[45 minutes from here] and into our storage unit.

I don't want to have to move now,in the icey cold, before Christmas...TxC' has been fighting more Arthritis and using his cane...the stress isn't helping. HELPP...

Thanks for any tho'ts/advice or opinions proffered. I am hoping there is a peaceful solution that doesn't require moving just yet.

'xsasperated Silverwolf

<<<<< BettyG >>>>> Thanks for the ideas dear lady!!!

We just want to be able to rest and relax,in our home, even if it is just a rental. TxC' is trying to force himself out of the depression.

He is riding the Drug Court float in the parade ,and playing/singing Christmas songs tonight.

I'll find out soon if there is a safe place, out of the cold, w/ restrooms, where I can sit and watch tonight.

TxC' is checking a local fast food place to see if I can stay there 'til after the parade.Hopefullu I'll be able to see out the window.

If I can't stay out of the weather .I'll be staying semi-warm at home...trying to Ignore the 'neighbors-banshee-asuarus badacres'.

I appreciate the ideas, and will check in search, if things don't calm down. Sorry that you have to put up w/ nasty neighbors too.

Love from Silverwolf

Sorry you find yourself in such difficult living situation on top of everything else you've been going through.

It's hard when you can't relax even in your own home. Have you asked your landlord to consider fencing the yard?

Does your landlord know the other people's landlord? Could they have a chat landlord to landlord?

Document what is happening. Take pictures, preferably video with sound, of the dog, the kids etc. That way, if you have to get tough with them, you will have some evidence to back up your statements.

If things haven't gotten too nasty yet, it might be worth it to try and befriend these people. I know the type of people you're talking about, but sometimes miracles happen [Smile]

Pray for them. One of the best pieces of advice my mother ever gave me was to pray for someone who was giving me grief when I was in high school. Hmm, seems like Jesus gave us the same advice. [Big Grin]

oh boy, i know exactly what you mean. we actually had drug dealers living behind us and even across the street.

they had a fight once across the street and this woman was throwing furniture out in the yard and yelling. it was bad. when we called the police, they said "yeah, yeah, we know who it is..." but they did come. the guy was sent to jail and she left but boy it was tough..

hmm, is there another trailer in the park you can move to? if you're renting, seems the landlord should accommodate you? any children you can go to? how about a city shelter?

and of course, the dog could always just "disappear". i know, i know, but here in texas it DOES happen...this stray cat came and we knew exactly who it belonged to. poor thing was so sick. we put it in the bathroom and called animal control. they came and got it..never saw it again....sad...

what about senior housing? hmmm, there's got to be something...

<<<<< ajisuun and randibear >>>>>,

Thanks for the ideas!!! I apprecaite it!!!

Landlord told us when we moved he couldn't afford fencing right now [his wife had to have shoulder surgery among other issues].

If we could manage we are welcome to fence any or all of the plot of ground we are on.we cannot afford it tho'.

I've been praying for them, and hoping for some way to ease the situation, even tho' it is very frustrating.

It seems, that like us, they have been hurt by others. Just an idea we sort of sense, when they are around.

Mr.Banshee-bad seems to want to turn that pup into a ferocious watch dog. It doesn't have the 'personality' to be that type of dog.

With privacy laws here, I doubt that the landlord will tell us if he talks to their landlord. But I know he wants to be kept informed if there are damage related problems.

There was a 'gang-type tough' on the other side of us, but his lady was pregnant and his sister was staying in the next trailor to make sure things didn't get out of hand. They moved rather suddenly.

But they were quite peaceful compared to the Banshee-bads behind us. Altho' today so far it has been quiet, and the dog kennel is open,so Banshee-asaurus is inside or gone somewhere.

We had actually offered our help, as to keeping the dog entertained etc. when they were gone to work and school, awhile back and were assured Mr. Banshee-bad knew what he was doing and didn't need any help.

Mr. Banshee-bad knows someone, related to some *folk w/in the 'church mess' we used to be in...and I cannot help but wonder...???

The *folk they/and we know are still counted among our friends, but there is a son, that seemed rebellious so who knows???

We have actually been looking at some better trailor/mobile home courts, and some managers are scouting for us. So far the couple of places we've been told of are to spendy for us.

And we are waiting on job info'/possible hire, it would mean a -12- hour move upstate, but we've done it before and if the state hires TxC' it'd be worth it.

TxC' left good state jobs two different times to do ministry work...so we don't know if they'll take him on again now? That is up to our Creator...so we wait.

Interesting idea about getting a video machine w/ sound. If we could find an inexpensive ,easy to work machine,I'd do it..we may go looking for one. [Smile]

We don't have any kids, Randibear, the lyme disease [ we didn't know about 'til '06 ]caused severe endometriosis. Officially I am listed at five miscarriages,we beleive it was actually six or seven.

So y'all see I am a mess... but I beleive God makes some beautiful jewels from messes! In my darkest hours ,even when I feel the most alone and isolated ,I know my Redeemer lives!!!

Back to shuffling on this mortal coil, at least we are still shufflin' along. We will move if we have too,or if TxC' gets a better job requiring a move... But I really wanted us to be able to get a few months rest first!!!

We'll keep y'all informed. Thanks again for tho'ts ideas and advice.

Love from Silverwolf!!!

How long of fence would block access from these idiots???

Reason I ask is occasionally I see a give away in paper or craigs list of fencing,,,even chain link fence.

Now IF I get the situation right,,,you have a landlord, other people rent from another. Every 'similir' place I have seen is there is ANOTHER landlord that owns the land(commonly known as the court owner),,and both of the trailer owners rent from,,,for the RIGHT to park the trailers.

IF thats the case,,,talk to the court owner,,,the land owner,,he may have MORE to say about all this than EITHER landlord.

MOST spaces are pretty small so even a wolven wire fence is pretty darn cheap and somebody HAS these materials laying in a pile waiting for YOU to ask for there use.

When all else fails do as others would,,,go find old discarded pallets,,,they are everywhere,,,and tie them together with a post here and there.to prop them UP!!

OR find a better place to live,,,your choice!! "IF" you have to heat one of those oldie trailers MUCH,,,it might be cheaper to find an old apartment.

Hope it works out well for you and yours says--just don--

<<<<< JustDon >>>>>,

We have been trying to get some wooden pallets for our storage unit. Because people in area are desperate for firewood they are burning them.

If we can get extra, someway,I never even tho't of it as fencing material, but you are right!!!

I will have TxC' contact the city, and we'll see if this trailer court has a court owner...didn't think about that either.

Our landlord doesn't mind us putting in fencing,it just finding something affordable. This is a larger lot, than many. There is a variety of lot sizes.

We were thinking of getting a small excercise enclosure for our dogs. And if we could get pallets or something simular, and some posts in [before the ground gets to frozen],on the back side. It might just work.

I actually feel sorry for the dog and the children...the way the Banshee-bad dad hollers and yells.

And yes, the trailor is old, drafty, and hard to heat. it was the only thing we could find when we lost our job/housing,and that would let us have our two dogs.

Our bigger dog, has never been formally trained for service, but watrches me, when I am having problems. For instance, when I have a severe migraine/migraine variant w/ dizzyness and seizure like activity...she wont let me get into the tub/shower.

She literally blocks it...sometimes,and stays close by me,following me from room to room.Sometimes I don't think clearly and want to shower...feeling to warm etc. and she seems to realize soemthing isn't right.

I don't want to lose her, if we can possibly keep her. We do however, have our eyes and ears open for someplace comperable that would let us keep the two pets.

It is just hard to conceive of people acting like the Banshee bunch... , and TxC' and I have been so weary we just wanted some peace.

Will bring these ideas up to TxC'...if nothing else, maybe there is a neighborhood group of some sort. If not a court manger somewhere.

Thanks for the ideas...I appreciate it!!!

I was just looking at the Trailor length

Its an older prolly '80's model trailer maybe 75 foot long by 12 wide.

We have about 6 or so feet of fencing attached to the trailer itself in front and about 5 and half attached in the back. Then it is attached to a partial fence.

We are behind another trailor, and the back is attached to another fence that runs down several lots.

If we could find an inexpensive easy put up fence material,we are allowed to move the existing fence at either end of our trailor over. We cannot move the fencing it is attached to,nor would we neeed to.

Our good tape measure has grown legs [ or the mice and hobo spiders had a party w/it?] , so I'm guessing we'd need about 75 to 80 foot of fencing, depending on the trailor length. We'd add to what is there.

On the front side we'd add just enough, prolly twenty or so feet to keep the Banshee bunch and their pets out of the back. And maybe a small excercise fence are for our dogs in front so we can see they are safe.

If we tried to do the whole front and gate the driveway end near us...it'd add another 100 feet. Too spendy even w/ cheaper/used/makeshift fencing so it'd be the back side and enough for exercise fence and keep folks and animals we didn't invite out of the back/sides areas.

We aren't gonna get a break anytime soon w/out a for real miracle...so we are probably here 'til spring thaw. Storm is supposed to hit tonight?! If it gets too cold and icey to dig fence posts we're out of luck as it is. Especially if we get much snow.

This is part of the Rocky Mountain desert system. So we could get anything from a few inches to a couple three foot depending on the year.

We aren't quite as high elevation wise as where we just moved from, but this area tends to get more snow...and then it plays drift reycycle and icepack under more.

There's always a chance that there wont be hardly any snow, but the farmers wont like that, they want the moisture for wheat that's been planted to harvest after spring thaw.

And when it gets too cold w/out snow, its a very bad year as far as keeping any habitations warm. I'd ratehr put up w/ some snow.

Hmm maybe we'll get enough to make a 'snow fence'... naw it'd be to dry a snow, and just blow away...

I'm just blabbing now so off to do the laundry,w/ hope in my heart that the neighbors will move so we don't have to...or at least settle down.

Jus' the Silverwolf Doing Laundry Diva Duty and Glad I can at least do taht right now!!!

Just Don's ideas of the land ownowner getting invoved is great. Then he/she can deal with the Banshee family & their landlord.

It is sad about the dog but there is ultr sonic devices such as the "pet agree" that uses harmless sound to break a dog's "train of thought"

I was a dog obedience trainer and dog school owner for years before I fell apart. The pet agree was helpful in the "barking" chaos the first week when the dogs were frantic. I just push the button and the dogs would stop and look.

I don't know if you or your trailer are close enough to the dog's kennel but maybe something like it will help give you peace.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=pet+agree+training+device&spell=1

I'd do it from the window as not to let the Banshees or the dog know exactly where it's coming from. I's is ultra-sonic so not "heard by humans" but I could hear it alittle.

good luck.

i just had an idea. have your dog declared a "service dog" and then apartment and home owners cannot deny you a lease, at least i don't think they can.

is there some way to get the government to subsidize and maybe get an apartment? my sil did that and the people behind us are definitely doing the 235 thing with that house.

i think they're related to your bunch...ugh, i hate looking at old mattresses, washer and dryers in the backyard. we have a six foot fence but we're elevated so we can see over it.

wish you could get to texas, the house next door is for sale!!!
