everyone has thought I was crazy at some point and many still do.
It's the never ending struggle of trying to educate people so they might understand.
As time is passsing though, it doesn't really bother me any longer what people think.
The people who are worth anything have stayed or come back around and have opened their mind to understand.
The rest we don't need.

Eric, quite typical - people usually just don't understand. Our lives have been altered in significant ways by a still poorly understood condition (hopefully that will change soon as more publicity gets out), yet most of us look ok.
Hey - maye we oughta start something here - how about if we could figure out how to get something visible, like green measles, or something like that? Little green spots showing up all over us? Then people would see something... (that's a green measle with some teeth)

I have become reclusive because I just cant stand people telling me how good I look.... with the unspoken heavy in the air of 'how can you be sick if you look so good?'

I HATE hearing that. It really makes me mad now. So I tend to not talk about it unless I have to. Luckily my family listens. Not sure how they really feel about it... but they will support me no matter what. Also, I agree with a previous poster, it's quality that matters.
