Friends, family, spouse, kids.....

everyone has thought I was crazy at some point and many still do.

It's the never ending struggle of trying to educate people so they might understand.

As time is passsing though, it doesn't really bother me any longer what people think.

The people who are worth anything have stayed or come back around and have opened their mind to understand.

The rest we don't need.

Eric, quite typical - people usually just don't understand. Our lives have been altered in significant ways by a still poorly understood condition (hopefully that will change soon as more publicity gets out), yet most of us look ok.

Hey - maye we oughta start something here - how about if we could figure out how to get something visible, like green measles, or something like that? Little green spots showing up all over us? Then people would see something... [Big Grin] (that's a green measle with some teeth)

I have become reclusive because I just cant stand people telling me how good I look.... with the unspoken heavy in the air of 'how can you be sick if you look so good?'

I HATE hearing that. It really makes me mad now. So I tend to not talk about it unless I have to. Luckily my family listens. Not sure how they really feel about it... but they will support me no matter what. Also, I agree with a previous poster, it's quality that matters.

barby same here,

actually heard it again from my very close friend that i grew up with,

he further added for me to stay offline as it only adds to my emotional stress and not my cure.

he says the more i research about lyme here online, the sicker i will think i am,
and so i shall be more sick.

so i guess its a sign that he admits that im sick even though he says i look perfectly fine and am very good looking.

i dont know what to do or say to that.

i guess just very upset.
