I want to start a new thread for those who have funny stories about their brain fog. 99% of the time it's a serious pain in the butt, but sometimes it can be hilarious -- and we should have a good laugh at something when we can!
Like today, when I went to the restroom in the afternoon I found that I was wearing two pairs of underpants. Apparently when I got dressed this morning, I put one pair on, got distracted, then put on a second pair without noticing that I already had some on.
It was *so* much more entertaining than the usual getting lost or being able to add single-digit numbers in my head!

Was playing piano and singing at church. (I write contemporary Christian Music)
Did a quick soundcheck with the head mike, and then went into the choir room
A friend of mine was the only one there, and when I looked in the mirror I said.... this thing sure looks dorky doesn't it.
Suddenly I put my hands over my face and she said, Rita what's wrong?? As she hugged me close, thinking I was crying.
I answered through shakes..... "The... mike... was... still... on!" After I said the "dorky" comment, I realized and turned the mike off. She thought I was crying cause I was shaking so bad from the laughter.
Later I sat up front behind the Choir director, and after a moment she looked back at me. "Shall I just go home now?" I asked.
She said, no but she did need to tell me something..... "That thing really does look dorky!"
Fortunately, I played the song and sang without a hitch. Just goes to show, God has a sense of humor..After all He made us!!!!!!

MelodyMaker, lol.
For me it's just the misplacing things (of course, that's not always funny).
I've put the phone in the fridge and leftovers back in the microwave instead of in the fridge.

I was getting ready to leave for work this morning when I happened to glance in the mirror one last time...and realized that I did not have any pants on! My shoes were on, coat was zipped, gloves on, purse on my shoulder, but no pants! Oh my goodness!
It's funny now but it scared the daylights out of me this morning. Talk about a wake up call.
If anyone finds my brain please send it back to me:)

The thing I do is throw everything away. The cheese grater. A spoon. The full container of milk. My daughter's shoes. Some wacked part of my brain is thinking "Oh yeah, I don't need this anymore."
Oh, and for you Mac users, I dragged my hard drive icon into the trash a few weeks ago. I couldn't find any of my files, and I was on the phone with a client.
I love the no pants story, sammy!

I have been self employed for years with the same accountant. I really struggled to get the information together for her this year but it came together. I actually did pretty good except that I left out how much I had earned!

I haven't done anything as cute as you all lately.
Just could not for the life of me remember my pin number for my debit card.
The one I use almost daily.
I think I had the "deer in the headlights" look.
The cashier must of thought I "stole" my card.
Oh wait. I thought of one.
Almost put my "wrinkle reducer" eye cream on my legs instead of my lotion.
Hugs,
Geneal

I went thru the drive in at Mc Donald's a few weeks ago. I ordered, went around and could not find my money. Frantically looked everywhere. Got close to the window and grabbed my purse to dig again.
It was at the window where you get the food,I had already paid and forgotten about it. Not sure this is brain fog...perhaps the time to pre-plan work by Alan Mc Donald. lmt

I got a laugh out of a few of these including the original post (guess that's a lymie's version of a chastity belt )
One of my finer moments was when me and a couple friends went down to a phils-mets game in philly last summer. One of my buddies gave us each our tickets when we got out of the car in the stadium parking lot. Well, guess who didn't have his ticket when he got to the stadium ticket entrance line?
I was in disbelief searching through my pockets, wallet, etc. but nothing. What I'm pretty sure happened is that I threw the ticket into a garbage can on the walk from the parking lot to the stadium instead of a paper towel. Fortunately, after 10 minutes of talking with a couple stadium employees, I was able to get a replacement ticket printed.

I left my pocketbook at my brother's house on Thanksgiving Day. On Christmas Day they brought it back to me. I said, "oh, I kind of wondered where that went." I hadn't really looked for it much, as I hadn't gone anywhere, but did notice a couple of times I couldn't find it.
My future sister in law said, "We left you a message telling you that you'd left it at our house."
I thought, now that she says that it does sound kind of familiar....
One month later I got a call from my LLD's office after my first appt. Guess what?

Mindy, if you're at work, it can be helpful to write down the name and any other info so you can keep looking at it as you speak with them!
