Hi, I was wondering if anyone had hair loss due to abx, or just Lyme?
If from abx, which ones?
I was planning to do Locks for Love again right before summer, but was thinking if the abx are going to cause hair loss, maybe I should get it cut now before it starts falling out.
I have never lost a lot of hair through anything. I did some after one of my kids was born, but nothing close to balding and I have VERY thick hair.

i've lost a great deal of thick hair; very thin now ... at times like a man's but NO bald spots!
i'd be tempted to cut for locks of love now while it's still healthy; good luck; and what a neat idea.
my young niece does too; her late mom lost her hair at 32 and then 3-6 times over the years.

Hypothyroid for me but the abx Omnicef really exacerbated the hair loss.

Thanks so much for your help!
I did have some thyroid issues in 1997 when I was really sick, and now I can't remember if I had hair loss, I was so out of it all the time.
I think I will just cut it now, I've got a good 14 inches to donate, so it's not like I need to grow it out or anything.
Geneal, awww thanks! I like having my hair long and short. I'm not one to 'do' my hair, I'm not a girly girl, so it really doesn't matter much to me anyway, I figure other people need it more than me anyhow!
I think I will get it cut the day I start abx, it can be like a 'new beginning' kind of thing.
I actually have Omnicef that my first LLMD prescribed, but I did not take it as I read so many people had awful diarhea and I was underweight, so afraid if I took it I would waste away.
Not sure if my new LLMD will want me on it or not, we'll see!
