Sihayah has a 'follow-up' w/ the new vet tomorrow afternoon[edit: changed to tomorrow morning].
Trying not to worry wart over things. She is still very tender around the ears, and the right ear is having much more drainage than it should w/ all the meds [at least IMHO].
We are hoping it is not going to be a continuing chronic issue,as has been suggested. Finances are still way tight, and so we've not gotten her trimmed yet.
TxC wants to have it done by professionals, because of the skin infection that came w/ all the mess. We'll know more tommorrow.
If it is seriously chronic,we may lose our sweet doggy. TxC said we'll find out if she is in much pain, because that is unfair to our sweet dog.The other problem being the pain makes her so cranky, and we don't want her to bite anyone.
Just hoping for good news. I'll update what we find out after tommorrows appt.

Hi there, <<<<< feelfit,Ocean, and anyone else following this >>>>>.
Sihayah did wonderfully, altho' the right ear still has a bit of issue.
Both ear drums and ear canals are intact!!! There is no sign of the Psuedomonas in her ears, but she does have yeast infection in the more tender right ear.
So now we treat the rt. ear,and she'll go back in a week,to be sure treatment is working.
She still has to go to the groomers, and get a trim and shave,to keep things calm w/ her skin. And we'll have to figure out how to bathe our big sweety!!!
This group was much easier on our pocket books, and just as thorough,if not more so. We paid $48,and that included more meds. The other group charged us $280.
These new Vet folk said that her antibiotic [Baytril] is very expensive, but that it is probably the best for the problem.
And they agree that the others group charged a pretty penny for it too.It is something to do w/ the medical suppliers from what was said.
Hopefully she wont have to have more of it,but if she needs more, they might can get it at least a little cheaper?!!
Thanks for the concern and kindness for each one who has been following this little saga!!! We'll see how things are by next Thursday, and will know then if the treatments have done enough!
We are pleased that she is doing this well, and not in serious pain! Now then,if we could just get the neighbors to understand, please keep your dog on your side of the property line.
I've tried twice now to explain that Sihayah has an infection... guess they don't care if pretty Cleo the boxer gets it??? I mean I tho't I was speaking plain ol' American english.
She's a big love of a dog, and just wants to play, but Sihayah and Itty-bit-a-Muadi' do not like Cleo, especially not in their yard. And I have more than enough mess to keep shoveled w/o another large dog on our turf.
Ah well,I am relieved to still have both our Sweet doggies, problems and all!
Will update again, after next weeks Vet Appointment!!!
Just the Silverwolf, feeling a little more at ease now!!!

Update!!!
Sihayah just got back from the vet, she is now off he meds, the infections have cleared up!
We were given an ear cleanse solution for her, once a month maintenance! And we have some meds in case she gets any more inflammation!
Next stop, getting her to the groomers.for bath/grooming and trim! That'll prolly be next paycheck or so...if possible!
Then Mua'di-itty-bit needs his exam and neutering, that might have to wait a few more weeks. We need to make sure that he doesn't have the same kind of infection that Sihayah had.
He is half Chinese Crested/half Min-Pin and gets the dreaded Crested acne... well I'm off to get ready for a blood Draw at lunch time... Ooh Yeah...Not...I'll never get used to needles!
Thanks again, for those who were sending us hopes and prayers for a good outcome!
Love from Silverwolf!
PS Blood Draw went well..so we'll see if the meds are helping, when the results get back!
Silverwolf here...wandering off to paw thru my laundry!
