Hey everyone, I was just wondering how long herxing usually lasted? I started herxing about 6 days ago and still am very achey and very sapped of my energy, when can I expect some relief from this?

Thanks for anyone who can help me with this question. [Smile]

Danielle

When I first started doxy, I herxed for almost 5 weeks straight.

Low dose too (200mg a day).

Drink lots of water and you can back of meds if you need to.

My LLMD does not advocate pushing through a really bad herx.

Maybe call your LLMD and ask him/her what would your best course be.

Hoping you feel better soon.

Hugs,

Geneal

Thank you so much for your knowledge on this. I've never been one to get sick very often and when I don't it kind of scares me unless someone else knows what I am going through.

I have been having cold chills and sweating and then my body just feels so tired that it's almost numbish. Does anyone relate to this?

Some say that true herxing only last a few days to a week; but many will dispute that. Personally, I feel awful on antibiotics, so I never know if it is a herx or just the medication.

Some people just don't feel well on medications; I mean they "are" man made chemicals that we are loading our bodies with.

I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks Sutherngurl and DaveNJ,

I take the ladder on this one because last time I was on the abx's was for 6 weeks and I did kind of feel crappy most of it, then this time it's been almost 2 weeks I think and the frist week and a half were horrible, I am still achey all over and very tired, so who knows. That's what sucks about Lyme, no one knows how it's going to be from one person to the next.

Thanks guys it helps to know that other's understand
