Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has been diagnosed with Babesia Canis??
This is the strain I am told I have from electrodermal testing.
It's a dog strain, transmitted from ticks. But Dr. Schauller says of the blood tested 36% of people from Mexico (again, that were tested) tested positive for Babesia Canis.
I don't even know where to get a blood test for it.

I would just go by symptoms. If you have babesia symptoms or feel strongly that babesia or a babesia-like illness is preventing you from getting better, than talk to your LLMD about Mepron or whatever he/she would suggest.
Because if you test negative for babesia canis, it doesn't really tell you much, in my opinion.
And also, since it seems 36% of people from Mexico test positive, testing positive wouldn't even necessarily tell you it was the cause of your symptoms.
So one option would be to just skip the test and go by symptoms. If you're not recovering from Lyme, it's smart to look into babesia, but sometimes the best way is to just try the drugs and see what happens. Some LLMD's advocate not even bothering with the testing for babesia.
Or do a trial of pulsing some artemisinin and see what happens.
Good luck!!!!!
