Evidently I cannot tell my thumbnail from my armpit. I sliced my left thumbnail almost a quarter inch...Owoooouch!!!

Okay stepping away from the razor now...after all we wolves are a furry bunch...I am such a klutzo-dork. [Embarrassed] [bonk] [Roll Eyes] .

Well maybe my head wont seem to ache so much, while I am trying to get my thumbnail to heal... Oy Vey!!!

Hey there <<<<< John S >>>>>,

I've had Lyme since I was a child, and have always been rather uncoordinated and klutzy.

I did used to think I could tell my armpit from my thumbnails tho'...OY. [Not so sure about my English sentence structure tho']!

I've bandaged it up so I wont bleed on/in the boxes I am packing.

I'll check back later..time to play the laundry diva... jus' Slivered Silverwolfy

oh sweetie, i am so sorry to hear this.

i cut my hand washing a glass and had 10 stitches, fell on the sidewalk, and tripped over my own feet so many times i can't count.

if you can't get to a doctor, get out the ole neosporin and slap it on there and wrap it up.

right now i've got a deep cut in my right foot and it ain't healing.

dang, getting old sucks and having lyme sucks more....

<<<<< Randibear >>>>>,

Hmmm, maybe we are really related !!!

How'd you cut that foot? Keep a close eye on it okay?!!

I'm 'slapped and wrapped' [Smile] , have to undo to take a shower, and I don't want to...it hurts and I am such a wimp.

Had to trim the thumb nail down to the pink skin, and there is still split below it.

The razor nicked right down a grooved line on my nail, and all my fingernails are thin as it is.

If I wasn't such a furry Wolfie I'd stop shaving durn it all...

Well off to brave the shower...whimper...and I'll 'slap and wrap' just as soon as I can after.I don't need an infection,in the middle of packing to move!!!

Just Slivered Silverwolfie Klutzo-dork

Don't feel bad Silverwolf:)

I cut off a chunk of my thumb a couple years ago while preparing a vegetable platter at work. My hands were so soggy and numb from preparing food all day that I didn't even realize I had cut myself until I saw all the blood.

Thankfully, it healed fine. Probably should have had some stitches but I didn't think about it then.

Next time you're at the store you should pick up an electric razor. I found one the other day for about $10 at Target. Works pretty well so far. I have a PICC line so shaving in the shower is not practical for me anymore. Had to find an alternative.

Take care and have fun packing:) I'm so happy that you are able to get away from those crazy neighbors. What a blessing and answer to prayer!

Hi <<<<< Sammy >>>>>,

I got what I tho't was a good electric rechargeable a couple years back, but it hasn't worked very well.

Next time, we are in the town that has a Target store, I'll see what I can find!!! I think the nearest is about 40 minutes from here. Just gotta love semi-rural right?!!!

I did feel like a dork tho' yipes!!! LOL.

Did the chunk of thumb you lost grow back together?

An acquaintance lost the top part of her index finger,in a farm accident when she was a child. It goes to right below where the nail bed should start.

Thumbnail area didn't look to awful, when I showered, keeping it well protected tho'!!!

And we do feel very blessed to have found safe housing!!! LOL after awhile,I'll start dreaming about boxes again...they'll chase me...LOL!!!

I am glad right now, for every box we packed a while back and those we stowed w/o unpacking.

Still we probably have about 50 boxes coming from the church storage. So we are trying to keep our storage unit payed up,and make room here to sort some of those as well.

Funny, now that we are moving, two out of three of the nutcase neighbor families have moved away!!! Ah well, perhaps the few quiet neighbors will have a more restful summer!!!

Well I'm off to do more pack and sort, and play Diva of the Laundry [Smile] !!!

Slivered Silverwolf, tryin' hard to protect me paws!!!

Dear Silverwolf,

Don't feel too bad about accidents.

My other name is "Grace".

I've always had balance issues.

I was the one as a child with bandaids on both knees, both elbows and forehead.

It was an accident and Thank God you don't need stitches.

When was your last tetnus shot?

Just better to be safe than sorry.

First thing I did when we came back to La. from Tennessee after Katrina,

Was to step on a nail. That was fun.

I swear the tetanus shot hurt worse than the nail did.

Hang in there and know you are not alone in the dorkey deparment.

I think I head this one up.

Hugs,

Geneal

Hey There <<<<< Geneal >>>>>,

Goodness tetanus shots? Its been awhile... ,tho' hopefully having this slice and dice on my thumb-and-nail in the shower, I might not need one.

It doesn't look too bad all things considered but it still hurts...drat it all!!!

I am thinking of Sammy's suggestion tho' and see if I can find an inexpensive electric razor, that works better than the one I bought a couple years back.

Sounds like a lot of us w/ Lyme and Co' have accidents easily?!!!

I almost ran into a big post yesterday, we did some unloading of boxes to new to us home. Then we stopped by the store, the post just was suddenly right there.

So was TxC, so I didn't hit it [and he is the one w/ vision in only one eye]. Well I'm off again. Needed to take a break, now I must clear the furniture of boxes!

Then I can fold clothes and collapse...er...uh rest yeah...that's it!

The 'tired wall' is amongst mah self...that worn out and frazzled, draggin' anchor feeling...

Altho' I'm not sure it ever really leaves.

BBL Love Slivered Silverwolfy

(((((((Silverwolf))))))

So sorry to hear of your little klutz-ident.

Yeah, I'm constantly still tripping on my shadow and not seeing the wall that's right there.

And there's a wonderful little (not so little, actually) bruise on my knee right now from walking right into the bedframe.

Oh, and since I don't feel like looking up my "Attack of the Lymebrain" post, I'll post this here.

The other day I stopped at the grocery store to return the regular coffee my husband bought (after TELLING him and WRITING on the list to get DECAF) and pick up a ffew other things,

I returned the coffee, got the receipts and the money and tucked them in my purse and headed back to o the shopping.

Well, I suddenly couldn't find the list.

I went through my purse and the receipts and the wallet, and just could not find that list.

I was so upset about losing my llist between the Customer Service desk and the first aisle of the store that I truly almost started crying.

Then I just happened to glance down, and there's the daggone list HANGING OUT OF MY MOUTH.

Boy did I feel like a Class A MORON!!!!!

<<<<< Starfall', and Bettyg >>>>>,

Star' I hear ya on Lymebrain and 'klutz-idents' [I like that!! [Smile] ]. I tend to joke that I know my name cause it's on my Bible [But what happens when I lose my Bible?!!!].

I actually lost my Bible for awhile, and a dear angel sent me another!!!

Betty' I was sorry to read of your break not going smoothly, I'm still praying for you and your hubby's health to improve!!!

We are both so excited about this move,it is progressing much slower than we had hoped tho'.

TxC' has been having 10 to 12 hour work days, and driving 500 miles a week. He is exhausted, so we've only got one load of boxes over there at the moment.

[Supposedly after the 'Work start up month' it'll slow down. Right now, TxC is still getting Saturday trainings about every other weekend as well as everything else.]

My thumb[s] are not fairing to well ,probably I am to weary, so taking today off [except for doing a load of clothing].

I had to trim some more of the razor injured nail [lft. thumb]. ANd today I cut the right thumb, Sihayah wolfy-dogs Tag 's' wire has gotten sharp.

My skin is super dry, the water here is not real good for skin.I seem to cut and nick all to easily.

May have to have 'free clinic' set up that tetanus injection after all, don't need lock jaw!

I still don't have basic health insurance, Txcs work provides his, but we can't pay almost $500 a month for me. Company is looking for better family policy.

I better post before this gets any longer!

Slivered Silverwolf w/ two sore thumbs
