This week's thread is officially started!

Yesterday I worked in my perennial bed for an hour raking the straw that had protected them and weeding. I was surprised that my arms did not tire more than they did. I put heat on my right arm last night. Thankfully, today my arms do not hurt.

Lymetoo, I am sorry you ended up in the hospital again! Afib is not something to mess with. Now, I read that you KNOW that you should have not waited for your husband to go to the hospital. Next time I want you to put that knowledge into ACTION. And GO TO THE HOSPITAL! We don't want to lose you, girl!!!

Hoping this is a good week for everyone!

Best,
Karen

Karen -- Thanks so much for starting this week's thread.

I wanted to garden this weekend, but it has been raining here for a week. I'm going out of town this weekend, so hopefully the weather will cooperate on Memorial weekend.

TuTu -- Hope you are feeling better. Your experience sounds scary!

I actually got up early and went to the gym this morning. Maybe this will be the week that I get there every day! I've got a dress that I need to fit into soon!

20 minutes on the elliptical and free weights. It's a good start to the week!

Hope everyone is doing well . . . S-M-I-L-E!

Sunday-Did sheetrock work in the hallway. Still have floor to replace next. Almost done with repairing the damage from the leaky pipe. Yeah!

Monday-Painted trim molding and a ton of other chores that I've put off from doing the yard work and repair work.

Let's see, it's a quarter to 7 and took a pain pill and muscle relaxer. Am overdoing it.

Have got to take Rocky walking tomorrow!

See you all later!

Still trying to recover from this evenings outing.

Drove out to the 3rd or 4th creek crossing. Reclined in Lafuma as Rosie explored.

On my feet est 10 min and had trouble with that..brain and legs were not talking to each other very well.

Outing was an hour and a half...an hour of it in driving 10 miles out of town on the 30 mph road.

Brain was in a fog adn heat was too much and the sun shining through the trees was like a light show.

Mis judged what I can and can't do this evening but it was still good to be out.

Hoping to read what others posted later. REcovering now from outing.

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone!!!

We're cooking out shrimp, chops and corn on the grill to celebrate!

Dropped the ball though and forgot stuff for margaritas!

Me and Rocky 3 miles with some creek time for the hound. Sure was alot warmer today than yesterday!

Kam-What is a LaFuma? Do I need to get one too? Sounds great to me.

Later all!!!

boring!!!!!!!!!!!

Good job, AK! TAke it easy, kam!!

Thanks lou and kgg for your concern. I'm hanging in there.

PS>.. saw my PCP this afternoon.... BEFORE my little spell. My timing is off!

Tutu -- Hope you feel well enough to exercise.

Busy day for me yesterday. Made it to the gym and used the elliptical machine for 45 minutes. Worked up quite a sweat!

Plus . . . I worked a double. So, no marguarita for me yesterday.

But tonight . . . there will be a marguarita for me! Akin . . . because you forgot the marguarita stuff, I'll make one for you too. Anyone else?

Can't say I have ever had a Margarita. But I have had lots of tacos!! =)

Miss Pris and I went to the mail. I have been doing a lot of stair climbing lately. Have MIL with us and that requires more stair climbing.

Aklnwlf, sounds like your renovation is quite a project! Also sounds rewarding. Don't over do!

KAM, hope that you can rally soon.

Lymetoo, I have not followed your heart issues closely but has anyone discussed ablation with you? Please take good care of yourself! And go slow with the exercising!

Lou, Forty-five minute workout and working a double!!?? I wouldn't get off the couch for days afterward!

Best,
Karen

YOu sound like me, kgg... plenty of tacos, but no margaritas!! [Big Grin]

I was able to exercise today. Did 23 laps and the usual stretches and weights.

Took it easy.

kgg.. I've read about ablation. That may be next. I think I'm at least due for a catheterization, which may include ablation. UGH!!!

I may also end up on coumadin since A-fib involves blood clots.

Lymetoo...a lufama might work well for you too

http://www.lafumafurniture.com/Shop-by-Style/Lafuma-Recliner-Chairs/index.cat?categoryId=965&viewall=1

I got mine in 2001 when I first came down sick but was not really able to use it until a few years later.

Then, I could be in it about 10 min...but I Recall having tears as it was so good to see the world from another position other than flat on my back.

When I first moved here I saw Walmart had a less expensive copy of the product.

I have never sat in the Walmart brand but assume it would be just about the same.

Still only picking up pieces of what you all are writing. Taco's, Tutu almost fainting, Lou doing so well, Karen...taco's, AKINWOLF and Rocky are amazing too.

Rosie has been laying around every since the housekeeper came today...around 10 am. Concerned about her.

Hoping she will be back to her normal self tomorrow and just needs a rest today.

Thursday am: est 15 min on feet. My old stomping grounds....the nice quiet forest trail...

...was more like a LA Freeway this am.

Finding a place to park was difficult. The backhoe's and other construction equipment were so noisy.

And I was there at 6 am.

Looking forward to the weekend. Assuming they will not be putting in pipes and grading roads on the weekend.

I assume when the ecomony picks up houses will be going up too.

It's been quite a while since I've been on Lymenet. I've actually been thinking about all of you and wondering how you were doing.

I haven't been out with my pedometer lately, but last week I was really pushing hard with activities (commitments).

I was holding up alright until a trip to PA to see my daughters College Concert and then crash.

I'm just now starting to feel like I'm catching up on the rest and fatigue, so if it would stop raining here, I will get my body back out there.

Lou, I tried to answer your PM and it said your box was full.

Kam....how is Rosie. I know you say you are concerned about her when she is laying around. Wasn't she having problems a month or two ago? I've lost track of time.

I do hope that Rosie is ok. Keep us posted.

Lymetoo, Those near fainting spells are not good. I played that game awhile back and it's not good, so I would recommend you find another game to play.

Seriously though, be careful. I took some pretty serious tumbles. NOT GOOD.

kgg, I hear you about the rain. Hope you will be sharing your sunny weather with the state next door to you. [Smile]

aklnwlf, Your cinco de mayo grilled food sounds excellent. Will you be cyber mailing all of us some too. Yum yum.

Nice seeing all of you here still.

Cathy

HAPPY MOMMY'S DAY to all the walking/hiking/crawling mothers. I know this is a couple of days early, but I am heading out of town for the weekend to visit family.

Didn't get to the gym, but I did weights for the past two days.

I am attempting to get rid of some of the wiggle and jiggle in my body that appeared after I turned 50.

Cathy, so sorry that the box was full. It is due to all the people that request names for an LLMD, and then when I send them names, do not read their mail. I hate to delete it until it has been read . . . but I may have to start deleting it after a week. Again, sorry.

Have a great weekend everyone! And keep moving!

Friday-Me and Rocky 3 miles again. Whew, it's really starting to warm up. Mid 80's here already. Creek time again for Rocky. Sweat bath for me! [lol]

Lou-Thanks for that margarita! I sure needed one or two! [Big Grin]

KGG-Don't want to do the project at all, but have to repair sheetrock, plumbing and flooring from pipe damage. Would rather be drinking those margaritas! [Wink]

TuTu-Be careful. Read in Medical that you're having problems. Maybe a margarita would help? [Cool]

Kam-Is Rosie back to her usual happy, doggie self? I hope so! [Smile]

Tdtid-Plenty of grilled stuff left to send into cyberspace! [lick]

As for the weekend all, will be trying to finish up the work in the bathroom and hallway. Maybe yardwork too. Weeds keep growing like crazy! Have more weeds than grass! [Eek!]

Later all!!!

Several days into a nasty herx...have forced myself to walk up to an hour each day.....today, I won't use "kickers energy spray", pretty much an energy drink without the water...ten sprays got me from severe lethargy to hopping on the treadmill for an hour......I did that two days in a row and will give my body a rest today. I really hate being the lethargic slug, but without unhealthy amounts of caffeine, I'm a slug. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Hi, John S and BugBarb!

I hear ya, John. Gyms are expensive. But we try to get the exercise in without going to the gym, except for Lou and Lymetoo.

I am the same way about caffeine, BugBarb. I don't know how much is in kickers energy spray, but I don't move without my morning coffee. I just need to be careful not to overdo. Be careful about pushing too hard during a herx. Glad to hear you took a break today.

Best,
Karen

CAthy... good to see you back!!!! Hope you are doing a little better!?

my fainting spells are from my heart. I have A-fib .. atrial fibrillation. Will see my cadio man in about 2 wks and I'm sure I'm in for more testing.

Aklnwlf, 3 miles! Wish I could do that.

Lymetoo, good job! Wish you were seeing your cardio man sooner than two weeks! What can I say? I am impatient!

Cathy, glad you were able to make it to your daughter's concert. I think PA is so pretty this time of year!

OK, KAM, where are you? I get worried when I don't see you posting.

Best,

Rosie is back to herself...I think. She was busy running about during last night's outing.

Although, my time was 5 min in rest on rock and 5 min out.

Rosie had a bit more energy reserved. But, she has not been bugging me to go out.

Good thing. I have been laying low for the most part.

Used reclining power chair this am to get her out to toilet.

I was out very early in my barefeet and my feet did not get cold. Looks like summer is here.

Wondering what that stuff is you use Bug Barb..the spray stuff??

LymeToo..you have overcome so much.

Karen...one of these days we too shall be able to walk 3 miles.

Akinwolf..always enjoy hearing about your outings.

JOhn...I think it was a famous tennis player that I saw on a TV program. I think she lives in Colorado.

She was showing the interviewer her workout. No gyms anymore.

She goes for walks with her dog and uses the leash to do certain exercises.

She loops the leash over a fence pole and does squats and some other stuff which I can't recall right now.

My kind of gym....the great outdoors.

Lou..hope you are having a great weekend.

Cathy...good to hear you have been able to do a few things lately besides testing out couches and beds.

woo hoo! I put earplugs in so the sound of the dishes didn't hurt my ears. I washed most of the dishes! Then, I curled up in a little ball on the bed with three cats and took a nap and two more neurontin.
