Family and friends writing this off as drugs, anyone else experience this? That's my state of affairs, pretty sad after getting blown off by doctors all this time and labeled other things as well.
What's ironic is that I hate pharmaceuticals in my body and now I have to live off of them.

Yep, I have had the same experience. I even had comments made when I landed in ICU several times with projectile vomiting and diarrhea. My brother-in-law, once said to me "that's enough Gael"
My sister thinks that I have been sick my whole life because I was abused by a teacher when I was 12. She said that the people she knows who were dx with Lyme had several courses of abx and were fine.
Comments were made that I just do what I want and don't go to regular doctors and said I go to alternative medical people like LLMDs. My sons also think I have abused drugs.
Had to go to a rehab to get detoxed from xanax given to me by a mainstream medical doc. I don't look for comfort anymore from my family because they think I did this to myself.
This is a common story with a lot of Chronic Lyme patients. For some reason even if it's not Lyme, people tend to blame the victim. Just not right. What does that say about us as a society? Sorry you have to deal with all of this,
Gael

I feel the irony of the situation too.
I hate chemicals in my body and had avoided them to the extreme most of my life. Now been taking antibiotics for 15 months. Never would have believed it would come to that.
And yes people in my family look at me funny when I tell them......yes, I am still taking antibiotics. They think I have gone off the deep end. Don't even consider how horrible I must feel.
