Hi there <<<<< Lymer Family >>>>>,

I haven't been posting a lot,But I have been reading and finding much that is helpful!!!

Still recovering from my accident Mid-July, the anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxants make my brain-fog soup even cloudier and ...er...creamier.

It was a vertical 'whiplash and sprain of back' neck/shoulders and my poor tuchus too.

Then to top it all of, we've had an invasion of mice...darn them rodent-ias.

Our Mini-break actually starts when TxC gets off work tonight [he seems to have picked up an abdominal bug, IBS sorta issues].

We are going wandering away from work, and trailer-home for a few days.Gonna let someone else pamper us,and do the chores.

Critter sitter comes in the a.m,and will be around most of the time w/Sihayah wolfi-dog,and Muad'i-mini-wonder-mutt.

[Will warn Sitter to use special collar for Sihayah , Sitter doesn't need a sprained back for certain!!!].

So any-who's, We should be back mid-week in the afternoon/evening.Looking forward to hot-tubs,gentle swimming, and just toullyin' along [uh..is toullyin' a word...LOL].

Thanks to each of y'all for being helpful, ,posting info' and questions, bringing humor to the Lyme family, and for being friends and family to us!!!

Will post more when we get back!!!

With Love from Silverwolf'i [Aka Wolfnbear Ya Ya ] and TxC{TxCoord} [Aka Trekwannabe]

Goodness I do hope someone will miss us while we are out... ? It's not gonna be super fancy...we're just gonna wander...we've been checking prices at various places,so that we can stay for really low prices.and eat inexpensively.

I'll have my cane,so hopefully I won't trip over 'air',and hurt myself.

Just Silverwolfi here!

Dear <<<<< Lyme Family >>>>>,

And yes I do mean family!!!

Please understand, I am,I'm sure like many folks here...

Hubby/TxC' and ***I have no family in area, what family we do have is either very distant as in geographically,or weak and infirm themselves and w/ a long days or two drive...

I cannot drive, and TxC works long hours, trying to keep it together...

Okay, really I know,I'm nothing in the grand scheme of things...but really is there nobody who has a minute to just be Family and say hi????

It would mean so much...I haven't typed in a whole lot lately because the meds [to treat the injuries] make me weary... but I do try from time to time to make a reply...I don't want others to feel lonely either !!!

This has really deeply saddened me...

hi bonny,

my pc has been down 2.5 wks. with 1-2 hrs. max at nosey library; so i'm way behind in reading.

been working on sending my welcome letter to around 100 folks; so i've not been ignoring anyone; just no time to read after doing this.

I'M GOING TO MISS YOU; it's just a busy weekend; many folks feeling the worst in their lives and just not on.

we can't read ALL posts; so we pick and chose; since i got my pc back 2 nights ago and it STILL HAS PROBLEMS, but i want my pc back to start catching up on news/people's lives ... i'm working around the bugs.

so folks have NOT been ignoring you; just many things going on with KIDS BACK TO SCHOOL, deaths in a family, last minute vacation for the few who can go, etc.

you have NOT offended anyone. it just takes time for folks to find the time when they feel up to getting up and their brains will help their fingers type words.

bonny, you and tx have a great time for ALL you've been thru for so long!

i'm ALL FOR PAMPERING!! enjoy every second and get some great mood music in there too.

we love you....MICE huh! oh boy; hope it's not the WHITE FOOTED MICE carrying more ticks into your home.

now go have fun and don't think of us; think of YOURSELVES. hugs/kisses my friend .... betty

<<<<< Dawn' and Betty >>>>>,

Hi there, and Thank You so Much for replying!!!

It honestly does mean a lot, to open ones topic one and find that someone[s] has/have sent a
reply.

I try very much to not worry-wart and not be paranoid.

And I do know that like you said Betty,Some folk are gone on breaks themselves. And some are feeling very very extremely ill. I also knew of your computer issues, and had mentioned this to TxC'. And you have always been a kind friend Betty!!!!!

I didn't know that there had been a recent/death[s]. I can't read every topic either...but I do try and scan.

Dawn, thanks so much for the reply, and good wishes!!! AS I said it really does mean so very much to open a topic and find that someone[s] truly care[s]!!!

I know that I haven't typed a lot of replies lately... When I have tried it seems like there is almost no interaction. And then I do get concerned...

I hate Lyme Disease and Co-infections...and I will keep making war on these darn bacterium, and viruses.

While I am very much looking forward to our little break... I am also a bit scared... and will be glad to return home.

I've had more than a few times, when I got to feeling really really awful physically when we were vacationing. And this one has started w/TxC not feeling well.

He doesn't usually take sick time unless he has to go to doctor/hospital. Good thing he has had so much overtime I guess...he had to come home early, both Thursday and yesterday.{something he does not do,if he can possibly avoid it].

He was going to try and at least make work business meeting. He took in some paperwork yesterday, that needed to be in by a certain time...and they sent him back home...They very kindly called too, to make sure he is all right.

Then this darn injury is just making me miserable...

I do hope and pray, that all our Lyme-r family gets to feeling better, and that we can find the right combo' of meds/supplements and so on to help each person, knowing that it may be a little different for each person.

Will check in when we get home... Please pardon me if I sounded petulant...We've got some family concerns going on,and then the darn mice to complicate things.

And the tinnitus, hyperacuses is just really really bad right now...a 'headache' that makes my headache so to speak.

Well,I'm off to start morning meds...

'See' y'all Wed./or-Thur. and thanks again for replying!!!

Hugs <<<<< Lyme-r family >>>>> !!! Love from Silverwolfy !!!

HI Silverwolf -

I'm sorry you're not feeling well right now, but glad you're able to take a break and get away.

By the time you read this, you'll probably be back, so I hope you had a good time and were able to relax at least a bit.

Of course we care about you! I know that I for one don't come to the Support board very much when I don't feel well.

I don't really visit any board much when I'm really feeling bad.

Like Betty said, this is a busy time of year. Please don't feel forgotten!

Take care -kelly

have a nice mini-trip.

when you get back and ready to tackle the meeces to pieces problem---get a 'tin-cat'.

Its a wonderful little wind up trap you can either take outside, far away and relocate them or dispose humanely.

best part is it catches a multitude of those pesky critters and remember THEY are the 'principle' hosts of those darn ticks, not the deer,,altho they all share the chore!!

Anyone who shares living quarters with mice are ASKING for trouble!! BEST protection is a complete seal of possible entry areas.(thats caulking ALL cracks, big and small!!)

<<<<< Kellyjk4 ,feelfit ,justdon, dawn' ,Betty' ,Any other readers too!!! >>>>>

Hi there, we are home and feeling better, but a little tired!

I was just very concerned, before we left, w/ the long time lag between the posts and any answers.

We try super hard not to be offensive,so I was wondering if something was wrong... and this Lyme and Co. seems to have made a real worrier out of me.

Relieved that much of the issue was folk just plain busy...and hoping those who were ailing are doing better.

TxC'is feeling some better too, his job can be fun,but also hectic and emotionally draining.

We didn't get to swim and such, but we saw many interesting things. We walked some, but heat and weariness kept us from doing quite as much as we'd have liked.

Some of the walking was around shops in temperature controlled areas...and in a large aquarium area.

Actually I think the fish, sharks and turtles were the 'sightseers'and we were the exhibits...LOL!!!

Of course there are still many issues we are facing since we have gotten home, but we were relived to just get away for a bit!!!

Thanks again to each replier, and reader for the kind words, and to Jus'Don for the live trap idea for the mice.

We will find out where to get a trap, and see if we can find out what sort of little rodents these are. Something was said to us about some former renters losing a small rodent type pet.

So far we've only caught mice, that we can tell.

Gotta skidaddle for now, lots of laundry diva duties!

Love from Silverwolfi

Hi <<<<< Betty >>>>>,

Thanks for the welcome home !!! [Smile]

And thanks for your kind words!!!

TxC's 'flu bug' calmed down fairly quickly,by Saturday [ Thur. Fri. last week was a rough 2 days for him].

I think the whole crew of co-workers over there is under maximum stress, and we were very touched when they sent him home to rest early both days before vacation. Most of them had fought thru the same 'bug'.

I'm hoping things are starting to look up a bit,for our Lymer Family here too. We did have a nice break, but I cannot help but think about the trials so many of our family on Lyme Net go thru.

I like the idea voiced here now and again,of having a retreat area or two for Lyme-r folk...where we could get away when needed.

It would be so nice to be somewhere on break and know that it is understood how much ups and downs we have sometimes even in the same day!!!

It is good to be back, and a little at a time, as TXc is back into schedule, I am trying to make our home it's own 'mini retreat'. Still to many boxes...but we are working on it...

And a special 'Angel' from the board has been helping us w/ some things too!!! {Cannot wait to meet them,if they get to travel this direction!!!}.

Lots of folk from here I'd just love to met and give a gentle hug to for their kindness and encouragement!!!

Well I'm off for a morning nap/break...LOL [Smile] I'll check back later!!!

Love from Silverwolfi

Hey Silverwolf! I just saw this thread for the first time today so I thought i'd just stop by and say "hi".

So glad to hear that you were able to have a relaxing mini-vacation. It's just nice to get away even if you don't go far or anywhere fancy. Spending time with loved ones makes anytime special.

Reading about your rodent problem made me laugh because when I was a kid I had many pet hampsters.

They were surprisingly smart little creatures and would figure out how to escape their cages all the time! Found one in the shower, one ended up in my bed, one in a closet, craziest places you could imagine.

The funny thing is i've always had cats as pets too and my cats never seemed to care what the little hampsters did.

Of course my little escape rodents were harmless house pets not wild animals. I hope that you are able to get the problem visitors under control.

Take care Silverwolf!

<<<<< hshbmom-Lyme-r-Family-and Friend,and Sammy-Also-Lyme-family and Friend !!! >>>>>,

I really do consider all the Lyme-rs and Lyme Caretakers here family-friends!!!

It was good to see y'alls replies!!!I did have a good nap yesterday ...it surprised me as I don't often sleep well!

So far since we've been back our traps haven't been triggered...pay day we want to get the 'tin cat'/live traps ,and see if we can determine what these mousy rodentia are.

There are deer out in this area...so no telling...I wish there was a way to spray the deer w/o frightening/harming them...poor animals...the ticks can't be good for them either.

Anyhows,we are back to the grind stone...Dad and my Bro.' may come out this next month [Sept.] to see us, they have some health issues as well...so I want things as safe for them as possible.

Then in Oct. there is a possibility that we may get more company... so hopefully we'll have some order out of 'boxed chaos' by then. This is gonna be fun!!! [Smile]

Well I'm off to shower and finish some laundry...TxC is working to make up hours from his flu-bug, and then some vacation. They get paid a smidge for vacation, but he hasn't been at this job a year yet.

Jus' Silverwolfi Jabberin'along, and so grateful for this Lyme Family!!!
