Like many of you, I've been busy getting ready for the holiday.

I just finished dying all the Christmas presents and hiding them in the snow out back so the kids can find them tomorrow morning- after the Christmas bunny comes hopping through.

I did have a slight problem when I set the marshmallow bunnies, heart-shaped candies and that orange, white and black striped candy corn too close to the wood stove yesterday.

I got distracted waiting to see if Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow.

Anyhow... the candies kind of melted all over the place. UGGGG!!!

But, not to worry. A few sparklers and firecrackers going off after the Christmas picnic tomorrow should take everyone's mind off what is left of that messy blob of melted sweets.

Between the fireworks, the three-legged race and the bobbing for apples events I'm planning, a good day should be had by all.

Well, ALMOST all.

I'm sure you all have had that ONE guest who manages to put a negative hitch in the Christmas holiday?

In our family, it is Uncle Jake. I sure hope he doesn't stay too long at Kelly's Pub again!

He can be quite dangerous when, after drinking several mugs of that green beer, he tries to plant a tree in the back yard.

Last Christmas he slid on the ice and his shovel went flying through the air and crashed into the big vase of beautiful red roses we bought mom.

But, this year I have a plan. As soon as he arrives, I'm going to put him in the den so he can watch the World Series. That ought to keep him busy!

So how are YOUR plans going?

Lyme? What Lyme?

[lol]

Merry Christmas to all... and to all a good night!

This is HILARIOUS! Love it! Did you write it yourself? Very witty!

Things are going well here....just can't sleep. Family is in town. Going to church the 24th, followed by food that night and presents on the 25th. Will be nice. It's just nice to see everyone.

I'm excited to bake and decorate cookies! Even though I won't eat many, I love to decorate them.

Loved the narrative, TC! You could seriously publish tath one somewhere!

THings are kind of crazy here.

We're not having any guests this year (thank God), but we're leaving day after Christmas to go to either Myrtle Beach or Florida (no, hibby has STILL not made the reservations).

And of course I'm dealing with some weirdo herx or something--head pressure, hearing muffled, don't feel right at all.

Ugh, of all times to get this crap. Well, at least I got it here and not on our vacation.

Merry Christmas to all, and may all the ticks in the world freeze, drown or otherwise cease to exist.

Tutu... Yes, I do think my mind has taken a break. I think the snow did it! And I hope the weather holds and you get to go home! Bless you my friend... and have a Merry Christmas.

``````````````````````````````````````````````````
Hey Hoos... Making cookies sounds like fun. I wish someone was here making me some! Your plans sound so nice! Do enjoy!
And if I have to admit it, yes, I wrote that. It just seemed I was getting ahead of myself and a bit overwhelmed... so I took a quick break and let it all spill out.
Happy Holidays to you and yours!
`````````````````````````````````````````````````

Hey Siz... I can tell by your response that you can relate to that mess! Hope your holiday is filled with the joy you've given to me. If it is, you will be a happy happy happy person!

By the way - that story wasn't totally out of the blue. I was at a store 2 days ago and next to the Christmas decorations they ALREADY had an entire shelf full of Valentine's Day cards and candies!

Merry Christmas my dear Siz... stay warm!

``````````````````````````````````````````````````
Hey Star...
I vote Florida! Go and have some fun in the sun! Wish I was there too! Snow and ice sucks.
Hopefully your head will clear up and you'll be at least thinking clearly.... hey... almost as good as me! HA!
Feel better and enjoy! Let us know how it goes!
Made cookies all day...9 platters for family. Why did I think that was a good idea??
I then wrapped the remainder of gifts for the kids. Oh, only about 3 hours spent there.
Am presently cooking a nice ham dinner and then will let the kids open one gift this evening since it's Christmas eve.
Fun stuff. [Smile]
Oh, also...tonight after kids go to bed, which I will insist will be early, will have to blow up tube sleds, and huge green ball I got them. It's taller than them! Also will have to fill stockings and put out santa gifts.
*yawn* I hope I can make it.
Tincup, you make me laugh. [Big Grin]
yeah, I can relate to your comment TC about seeing the next holiday's cards stocked. Like when it's Halloween and we have TG and xmas already going in.
So, you've already played the april fool, and here's to adding in the picnics for memorial day and labor day and also let's not forget graduation - we just graduated the whole year.
Now for having a day tomorrow in real time - happy holidaze -
Hey there TC!
You aren't the only one that's gone cuckoo for Christmas puffs!
For some unknown reason, I've decided to make a prime rib roast and a Martha Stewart camabert/asparagus bread pudding for Christmas dinner.
Yes, I did say Martha Stewart!
Oh, and did I forget to mention that I've never made either one before?
Man, oh man! What was I thinking?! [bonk]
I've been cooking since Wednesday-cookies, muffins, coffee cake, just finished potato salad and deviled eggs to take to my brother's, and still have the other sides to cook in the morning.
Whew! [Eek!]
Just posting about it has worn me out!
All in all, have a merry Christmas friends.
[group hug]
Hey, TC, don't know if you see a newspaper at all at your place--we usually only get the Sunday paper, but we got today's since it's Christmas.
The one comic--I think it's called Zits--reminded me of you.
The teenage boy apparently way overslept, and when he came out for Christmas morning his parents were sitting on the couch with Easter baskets, ears on their heads and eating Easter eggs.
The kid said, "Okay, I get it. I slept in too late."
Hey, Tincup! I haven't been here in such a long time but as always I find the best support and the best information here. It's db (LymeToo's cousin). I've done some posting in last few days and really hoped I'd find you. Will never forget you for your solid support and yes...whacky words of wisdom as I first started out with my treatment back in '02. It helped keep me sane. Hope you're having a good day. Hoping to hear from TuTu soon. Happy New Year to you and to everyone here.
Maddog... Yes.. do watch that ice... especially when in a blue tux!!! That HAS to be a funny site!
```````````````````````````````````````````````````

Topaz... First... hope you finally got some rest!

And.. just in case my dreams MIGHT come true...

Got any cookies left? Or were they all devoured by your little angels?

[lol]

````````````````````````````````````````````````
Hey TuTu... Did you ever get to go south once the storms cleared up?
`````````````````````````````````````````````````
Yes.. Robin 3639275... I couldn't sneak ALL the holidays in there... but tried too!

And what's up with your "real time" comment? Didn't anyone ever tell you that anyone living in California will never be on "real time".

Sorry to say... you will always be bee-hind us ... and trying to catch up! But one good thing... while it is dark here at night... you still have some daylight left! Go California Girl, GO!!

````````````````````````````````````````````````
Hey Little Wolf... soooooooo nice to see you! But what were you thinking? A Martha Stewart supper? OH MY!!!!
Well... inquiring minds want to know..... how did it turn out?
And have you gotten your silly self rested up after all that work? I do hope so!!!
`````````````````````````````````````````````````
Mountana... soooooooo nice to see you too.

Wish we could see more of you though! Hope all is well with you and the family... and your Santa was able to wear sunglasses and shorts on his visit there!

``````````````````````````````````````````````````
TOO funny Star. And yes.. that is just how it was feeling!!! How was YOUR Christmas funny lady?
``````````````````````````````````````````````````

Hey jo... We love you right back. Feels good to laugh at these guys, doesn't it? And how was your holiday?

```````````````````````````````````````````````````
Hey hoos.... How was your holiday? Tell us all about it!!
`````````````````````````````````````````````````

Hey ho db... Wow! Is it really you?

I am surprised, but so happy to see you! I've been on again off again here as time permits, so I missed your return. Glad you spoke up!

And yes I remember you!!! You are the poor dear that is actually RELATED to TuTu.

[Eek!]

Now is THAT a crazy deal or what? HA!

But then again, you said my assistance helped keep you sane.

That pretty much explains it all. You are a poor dear, aren't you?

[lol]

And thanks so much for the howdy do.

Happy New Years to you all.. or ya'll.

Ha, TC - what good is your time out there if you are always ahead of yourself?

Now if you were to come out this way, you'd be behind three hours all the time, which would give you a chance to catch up, always.

We don't say we're laid back out here for nuttin' you know...
