Hi Gang,I have came to the conclusion that i can not burden my friends and family any more, with my problems.

This leaves this hell i am going through to be suffered alone excpt for the people here on the lymenet.

I suffer a lot more due to constantly trying to figur a way out of this mess.

But there isn't any way to fix a failed government system ,the SS disability determination system.

I just can't work anymore leaving me with a mortgage and no income.

Should i go back to work in terrible pain not sleeping and driving back and forth to work while falling asleep every mile and noding and waking up.

Endagering everyone on the road with DEATH!!

I did it for 3 years till i finally ran off the road in a customer car on a roadtest,as i was a mechanic for 35 years.

It is what i know, fixing cars that is about it.

A little computer skills i have but nothing to wright home about and, NO - 0 formal computer training, not one single class.

So all I can do to save my home is get another dealership job and have the BIG CRASH!!!!

WWWAAAA !!!!!! this just isn't wright to mabey kill a family in a head on crash, because of a social security determination systen SCREW UP!!!

So sorry to hear about the SS messup. Read about it in your other thread.

I remember when my pain levels were so bad I never got more than an hour of sleep at a time. Being tired makes everything more difficult to handle.

I hope your pain levels get better, and that you can get some good sleep soon. So important.

I dont' have anything in the way to offer for advice with the SS, but will keep you in my prayers that something big will change soon.

Sorry you are suffering, but you CANNOT get behind the wheel of a car if you think you are putting other peoples lives in danger.

Apply for welfare and food stamps if you have to and get less expensive housing. I did, so I am not telling you about anything I don't know about.

The theroy is..

No one can stress you out.

YOU are in charge of your emotions.

If you are stressed, you are allowing them to get under your skin.

Don't let them under your skin. Don't let them win.

hi maddog,

tincup is right; i used to do the same thing you are doing.

did YOU give them permission to stress you out? i sure didn't either.

so we TAKE BACK what we can and fight like hell and DO NOT GIVE UP ON SSDI !!

md, have you read thru the entire post above what you do when you run out of money etc.

it's the 1st replies and then i added melanie reb's FINANCIAL BURDENS link to it too.

so read over everything; as you come to things, print that info off so you can use it ok.

i feel for you; except we didn't have a mortgage.

we paid our home off in 11 yrs. instead of 30 yrs. because in my hubby's family, men didn't live past 50 yrs. old!!

he's now at 72; so we put all my paycheck into investing for our retirement years. we are both frugal so could save extra.

sending you moral support [Smile] [group hug] [kiss]

Basicly I am not behind yet but I know my budget,it won't stretch more than 6 months more.

Normal time to a hearing here 2 years.

Thats 1.5 years past my budget.

I cant even be a greeter at Walmart ,the chems in there from the auto shop set off my interstitial cystitis.

I am still waiting on my hearing date I havent yet got the date set.

That is up to the lawyer now,he should have sent it in last week, but we had the so called holiday jammed in there, took a mailing day out of it.

Columbus day???? he wasn't even an american ,didn't fight in the revolution. He just found a continent ,that the vikings had already been to.

So we give him a day out of our lives??????

Just found out,no medicad,no welfare money, they count my IRA against me,and then the IRS may want me to pay penalties and taxes out of it .

That is my money I am living on.

Hey the IRS and Chase bank can fight over my home in the spring.

Just wanted to say that I am sorry for what you are going through.

I wish I had answers.

Praying for you....

Im sorry Maddog. THe system is so screwed up! I agree with the above about applying for foodstamps and housing. Isn't it ironic that the government won't give you BACK YOUR money for SSDI, but then it makes you turn to government money for foodstamps and all.

Anyways, do what you can. It does get impossible to work. I am in a tiny tiny house now, my son has to sleep on the couch. But oh well. I could be homeless... so just do what you need to do to downsize. I hope someone will help you do this. It's a process that's not easy too. You can apply online now for foodstamps which helps.

Maybe one day we will all be better, but until then we have to do what we have to do just to survive.

md, dog gone it, you just don't get a break do you?

i've forgotten, did you have SUPPORTIVE DRS. complete the RFC, residual function capacity, form showing how many hours you could work doing:

sitting, standing, lifting, climbing, bending, crawling, using your hands, etc. criteria

0-2 hrs/ 2-4 hrs/ 4-6 hrs/ 6-8hrs/

that form is CRUCIAL to have supportive drs. complete that for you.

we did mine during my scheduled appt. times...

can't remember,
did conniemc stop by and give you extra advise since she is a NON-LAWYER representing folks on ssdi claims?

DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE!! praying for better hours, days, months, and years to come for you my friend. hugs/kisses

MADDOG, have you had sleep studies done? Have you tried anything like Provigil to help you stay awake when you have to work and drive?

You probably have tried these things and so much more. I'm sorry.

Falling asleep while driving is such a scary dangerous situation.

I just hope that things work out for you soon.

Maddog, do you have any equity in your home? Can you sell rather than let them take it back and you lose everything?

Keeping you in prayer, and so glad you have the resources for another 6 months. That's a blessing.

Hi Bettyg
I really don't know what my doctors wrote SS.

I left them complete records of what I told SS so they new what to put down.

Hi Sammy
My sleep problems are from interstitial cystitis pain problems, keeping me awake.
I have had every treatment for it and all failed.

TC
Not much room left in this small place for anyone unless I finish the up stairs room.$$$$$$

Melodymaker
I have equity left but all the abandoned homes arround here are draging domn my value, this is a very depressed area. Two of the homes are worth like 250.000 bucks, who can buy them.

One of them is going to fall down some day,it was built in a swamp, and the redneck county let them do it.And the property owners association let them build it .Act like you have money and you can do what you want.
