So I was talking with a friend today who also has Lyme. She said that I had to write this true story on lyme.net, so here it goes...

A few weeks ago, I received my new Under Our Skin DVD's. I watched one as I wanted to see the 'new' info on it. I wasn't sure where to put it because I started thinking that my 8 year old might get a hold of it and possibly scratch it, so I decided to hide it from the kids...

Can you guess what happened????

Yeah....3 weeks later and I STILL have no idea where it is!

It's just ironic...a Lymie trying to hide a movie about Lyme Disease, and not remembering where she hid it!

If you have any suggestions as to where it may be...do tell!!!

Oh, boy, I oould see myself doing something like that....lol.

I would go back and stand where you were (if you can remember!) when you were thinking about where to hide the DVD.

Try to think it through as if it were the first time and you were just going to hide it.

Have you hidden other things before? If so, look there.

Where would you put something if you didn't want the kids to find it??? With the cleaning supplies??? lol

Try to replay your actions and thoughts that day and see if it helps.

You probably hid it outside with the ticks thinking that your kid knows enough not to play with them.

In a dresser drawer, tucked away with your clean clothes.

Maybe in the linen closet or in the laundry room.

It's probably not in the kitchen because the kids would could find it when they go to look for snacks.

Now the question is, how many lymies will it take to help you find the lost dvd? [Smile]

Thanks guys for your sympathy and suggestions, haha!!

It's so frustrating!!! Ahhhh!!!! I've searched high and low, haven't heard it clunking in any household applicances...my husband 'claims' he saw it in a bag...I don't remember if I told him where I was hiding it and neither does he...he has something wrong with him, not lyme but maybe a mycoplasma or something, his memory is terrible (he is 29 years old).

I will let you know when and if I find it...hopefully soon, have some lymies from lyme.net coming to my house on Sunday and I didn't know if any of them wanted to borrow it or watch the 'extra footage' here.

TC...are you saying I left it at your place??

I figured you all would understand!

Ocean, I've done the same thing with my copy of UOS...still haven't found it either. I'd only watched it one time.

I'm so mad about this. I've looked everywhere for it.

I hope you find your movie soon!

Watched any DVD's since then? If not, look in the player, you probably forgot that you intended to hide it. [Smile]

Inside a book or magazine??

I could so EASILY do this!!

MANY years ago, I heard about a woman who had a box of index cards where she wrote down where things were.

Like if she had theatre tickets, she would index it under "theatre" and write where she put them.

I was in my twenties at the time and thought this lady was nuts!!

Now I think she's BRILLIANT!! [lol]

Just wonderin' if you found it yet. [confused]

I do the exact same thing. My kids tease me about this all of the time. I just laugh with them!

I've found Christmas presents six months later that I've hid from them and forgotten about. [Eek!]
