i've had a few things happen recently where i wondered what happened. you know you do things and get kicked in the face, or they don't even acknowledge you, or like silverwolfie, turn on you.
maybe if we took the time to say "thank you. i really appreciated that." heck say something, just acknowledge them.
if it doesn't fit, say you like the color, how thoughtful it was, something.
if they open a door or call you "ma'am" say thank you.
it's free!!! and it makes their day.
there are people who don't have lyme who act like they do!!! people are just angrier lately so why not deflate their balloons.
this weekend was awful. we never got one thank you, one offer of gas nothing. and we drove for HOURS, paid for food, including the hotel.
we fixed the sewing machine, paid for a new shower head, did we even get an acknowledgement? hell no....
i don't care how old you are, courtesy is never out of style.

I agree, randibear. I know a friend who gives soooooooooooooooooooo much of herself. She is my role model.
I truly feel she is a saint.
I sent a small token of my appreciation for all she does and yet SHE feels grateful!!
A true lady.
She has taught me to ALWAYS say 'thank-you' for any thoughtfulness....
Thank-you, randibear, for reminding us!!!
