It has been years since I've posted on here. I would like to say that I have been symptom free and I believe I'm essentially cured of my lyme disease.

I, however, last week had a very suspicious circular red rash with a bit of discoloration in the center show up on the back side of my knee. I haven't been bitten by any ticks lately. The common understanding is that a bull's eye rash shows up soon after initial infection. Can this rash show up years after infection? This is a bit alarming.

I don't have any other symptoms and i feel great besides being a bit tired from a bit of sleep deprivation.

Can you call your old LLMD and ask? I no longer see my LLMD because I'm also in remission, but I am free to start seeing him again if I need to.

Be sure to get a picture of that rash.

Have you been under any unusual stress or illness lately that might be bringing the Lyme out of remission? Do you have any other symptoms? Maybe catching up on sleep might be a good idea so that you don't get a full blown relapse, if it is from the Lyme. [Smile]

I hope someone else has a better answer for you.

I am moving this to medical ..... at the top of this thread (if you're in general support) there will be a link to the thread in medical on the upper left side. It's a medical question and I think it will get more answers there.
