Does anyone go to Dr. J in PA? Can you tell me a little about what that Doc is like? Warm and fuzzy, curt, all business, etc. Also, if the doc is not much of a talker (I know this doc's appts are short) are there people in the office that can fill in the blanks and answer more questions?

My first appt with this doc is Dec 30.

Wish me luck. I really need help.

I have no clue, but SOMEONE here does!! I hope they will see this!!

You might also post this in Seeking a Doctor. We DO have members who check in there to help those looking for drs. They may then see your request.

Hope you get good care there!

I would watch out for whoever is typing stuff into records however....

I would'nt have thought it of HIM and somehow I still don't...

I would'nt have thought it of his vitals nurse either...

who was the only other person I talked with when I first went back to him in August....

but they put some nasty stuff in my records....

For my money he's somewhat more buisiness like then he used to be...I'm not sure as to why...

but....a definite difference....whereas...

I had him for my PCP in previous years...because that way he could treat all my TBD's and symptoms.

Of which some include the necessity for controlled substances...however....

now...all of a sudden he, I quote.,"I just want to treat the lyme", unquote...well....I SHOULD call him on it...and tell him...

Yeah, well then why don't you treat it the way you know,

and the many symptoms that come with it....especially when a patient

can't afford what really works for the timebeing.

OR

Don't balk when a patient asks that perhaps,

an IM Bicillin G or LA shot would be appreciated at the next visit...

because that way....the shot would be part of the visit...and not cost so much....

He could kindly not blow smoke up a patients behind and tell them that he pays the same price

for the medications as a patient.

That rather served me up a little insult of my intelligence along with the uncareing,

(except for the raising of my co-pay to specialist status)

disregard for me as a patient.

I used to think I was in good standing when I left and went out of the area awhile ago....

too bad for right now he's the only game I know of in town...

I used to know him....perhaps even he has been approached....

I would like to run into one of those approachers with a couple of lymies around with me sometime....

take him for a walk in the woods....and keep him or her,off the "TRAIL"...lol

From my understanding, there are at least 2 Dr. J's in PA....perhaps put the name of the city so it will be more clear as to who you need info on??
