Got phone call today that my disability will start on the 3 Wed of April and be every month following. Because I am currently drawing unemp so I won't get any back pay for SS, but once it does start I will have to stop the unemp.
The lady I spoke with said that Silverwolf would not be able to draw SS (until she reaches 66) because I am on disability. However once the checks come in I will still try and help her pursue that (just in case SS habit of saying "no" is at work).

That's great! Too bad you can't get the back pay. At least you have some hope.... and I would guess that the SS is more money than the unempl??

This is TxCoord under Silverwolf - disability will be less than unempl by about $250 - that's why I will be talking with the VA about service connected disability (several reports in my med files about knees and ankle).

WOW,I think I need to move to idaho and reapply.
How long did it take for you to get it???
Here in Ohio they keep turning you down and they hope you will die in the mean time and they wont ever have to pay you a dime.
It works well for them ,people die all the time here waiting for their disability.
Ohio SUCKS!!!!

ugh.. sorry to hear that it's less! My husband was on unemployment once and it was so little compared to his salary that we couldn't believe it.

I started application the end of October but I have several physical issues, blind in r. eye, arthritis to the point I can't walk or stand, age (58) and hand, should issues from arthur.
I have been working with voc rehab and I was told I could make no more than $900 per month to maintain SS disability benes.
We go down tomorrow to the VA hospital in Salt Lake because of impending knee replacements and I will be talking with them about service connected disability because at least 4 times in my military medical records I had knee problems.
