Isaiah 40:28-31

Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;

but those who HOPE in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

We don't have to "hope so" we can put our HOPE in the Lord.

My HOPE is in the Lord God Almighty.

Anyone else join with me? Can I get an AMEN?!

Amen!!

Thanks for that one.

I had a stressful week and I just need to keep reminding myself that I only need to look to the Lord for strength.

Dekrator48, That was a great topic kam started today on "good thoughts, not so good thoughts". May God give you His peace that passes all understanding regarding your son's deployment. I'm praying.

Did you see this link on scientific proof that prayer really works? There science goes again, proving the Bible true. James 5:16b.

That one is a GREAT one, daisy, and I'm sure very meaningful for you and Gary!!!!!

Here's one in a different vein:

"Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account."

Hebrews 4:13

Lymetoo, Thank you for sharing that scripture. Our God is all knowing! People who don't know Him should tremble at that verse, but for us who have His peace through Jesus, His Son, we can rejoice.

I went to www.biblegateway.com and read the whole chapter in Hebrews.

I was surprised and blessed, the verse before it says,

Verse 12, "For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."

Gary and I were just talking about that today, how Dr. J and Dr. K (and others) believe in treating the whole body and how God's Word shares that there actually is a difference between the soul and the spirit, etc.

Then the verses after the verse you shared says,

Verses 14-16, "Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."

Today the church we visited, the pastor talked about Jesus being our High Priest...and the grace that God gives us in our time of need.

Wonderful! How I thank the Lord for His amazing love! He is so good to Gary and me.

Rhonda

This morning I woke with this song on my heart, join in and rejoice.

Lord, You are more precious than silver.
Lord, You are more valuable than gold.
Lord, You are more beautiful than diamonds.
And nothing I desire compares with You.

Lymetoo,, Thank you for sharing that. It's awesome! I love that. I'm planning on printing that out and putting in in my Bible. No, I'm going to print TWO out so that I'm always ready to give one away.

Dekrator48, You are a brave woman and mom. Your son is blessed to have a praying mother! Reminds me of a quote that Abraham Lincoln is famous for, "Everything I am or ever hope to be I owe to my angel mother." Yes, Decrator48, you CAN do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

We do serve a great big loving God. I cannot praise Him enough.

daisyrlb,

Thank you again. I am having alot of weak moments lately....crying alot. Having alot of other family stress on top of my son leaving soon.

My husband is supportive, thank God. I won't go into it, but I am taking alot of blame for someone else's problems and poor behavior.

I try to explain the situation to others the best I can, but they think they know everything and have "it" all figured out.

In time, I suppose the truth will be revealed, which is what I am counting on.

I pray about it alot. I was stressed enough about my son leaving soon, and then this other situation has been going on since Thanksgiving time.

I really appreciate all your kind words and encouragement. I usually feel very strong, but not lately.

Thanks.

Dekrator48, I sent a quick post from my cell phone after reading your post above. I notice it didn't post on this thread though. I was really hoping you'd see it as I wanted to encourage you. Anyway...

We all have our weak moments. That is just a part of life and the human race, unfortunately. I am so sorry for all you're going through. And so thankful you have a supportive husband and your "friends" on Lymenet.

Going on since Thanksgiving! How sad. The truth usually does come out, however in the meantime, may God give you a supernatural peace--just knowing the truth.

You usually do feel very strong and encouraged so many of us on Lymenet, now it is your turn to be encouraged. We all need each other.

Praying for you today!

"By God's Grace, For God's Glory."

Someone else posted this but for some reason it is sticking with me.

I see I have been missing out on this thread and need to catch up when able.

daisy,

Thank you so much again.

I really need the encouragement.

My husband says that as long as we know the truth that is all that matters, but it's not that easy.

I try to put others first and help people. I do not live my life the way that I am accused of.

It really hurts me deeply for other family members to think that what they are told by one person is true.

They truly do not know me if that is what they think.

I am stepping back from all of the people who are involved.

I am hoping that eventually others will see that I am not the problem.

In the meantime, I am hurting badly.

Thank you again for your encouragement and prayers.

I am trying to find all of my strength in God.

kam, I'm going to start this week's thread with that quote, "By God's grace, for God's glory". THAT is so good!

Dekarator48, So sorry you are hurting badly. It can be so hard at times. The Lord is close to the broken hearted.

This morning my husband and I watched "The Hour of Power" on TV (we usually watch it each Sunday before we go to church). WOW! It was very inspiring. Here is the link to watch it on line.

May today be a day blessed by His presence. You and your family are loved with an everlasting love!

daisy,

I watched the Hour of Power in the link. It was very moving and powerful.

I keep praying for God to guide me to do the right things to reconcile the situation here and restore peace and love.

Thank you once again for your encouragement.

kam That Write and Right was so inspiring--the people holding up the cards. At first I couldn't think of anything--what DID I want to be? Then it came to me. I started crying happy tears when I realized my dream.

When my mom gave birth to me she was in labor for three days in a military hospital (1950s). The fluid in her middle ear (cochlea) dehyrated and she became hard of hearing. My mom wore hearing aids. I remember one day our dog chewed up her hearing aids and she just wept. I always wanted to help my mom hear better. At one time I thought I might want to sell hearing aids.

Fast forward, as a young stay at home mom I met another stay at home mom in my neighborhood, however she was Deaf. We were the same age. We hit it off and I learned sign language. To make a long story short I have been in Deaf ministry since the 1980s.

Oh my, wow, thank You, Lord!
