New Week, new adventures!
Wow! It is 43 degrees out right now. I am tempted to slosh through the snow for a walk. The low tonight is supposed to be -5. I can feel my ears going crazy at that barometric pressure change!
Anyway, if I don't walk today I will ride the exercise bike again. I have to divide it up into at least two sessions or I am bored. I do blast the Christian music while I ride and sing along. I sound like a howling coyote.
Have a great week.

Yes, that weather is going to change soon!! Will be very cold here tomorrow and even colder on Tuesday. I think today will be in the high 50's. Nice out already.
Kayak.. maybe those smoothies are helping you!!?
Reminds me.. I need to fix one today. I've slacked off lately.
Had a nice time at church today. Enjoyed having the Gideons speakers there today and lots of visitors. Also got to help teach Children's Worship.

I didnt get to the vacuming cuz neighbor came over and needed to use dryer. Hers broke. Then this morning i got up early to drop anither friend at hosputal for procedure.
Both these women help me so much it just feels so good to be able to do a little something for them
Then while waiting for friend to call to pick her up i made a huge batch of pasta sauce...with lots of xtra veggies in it and quinoa instead of pasta. I have to get it into the freezer soon.
I was on my feet almost an hour doing that...i have not been able to stand that long for a long time. A lot of chopping too.
So that is exercise. Also found out cancer blood trst was neg so that was good. I have two more procedures on thursday

Ps-i do think the smoothies are good for me. Im gradually adding more veggies. I stopped the almond milk cuz of the sugar. Is there a healthy almond milk?
So all is good here except getting a little chilly. Forecast is zero tonight and heater broke an hour ago. They are sending someone but i am already starting to see my breath.

Brr. No school here today and cancelled already for tomorrow. Supposed to be minus 15 tonight and that is without wind chill.
Rode my exercise bike for 25 minutes, but divided it up into 2 sessions.
Went to the MD about my shoulder. Inflammation of the rotator cuff area. Have some physical therapy exercises to do for it. He offered a steroid shot and I educated him about steroids and Lyme.

It's practically balmy out today--got up to 10 degrees this afternoon.
Rode my bike 25 minutes. Am dividing it still into two sessions, but gradually lengthening the first session.
Also did my PT exercises for my shoulder and iced it. Hurts worse now than yesterday.

I was offered a steroid shot for bursitis of the shoulder once. My orthopedist actually understand why I said no!
We stayed inside all day. BORING!! It was maybe 20 degrees today but sunny.

I had a bunch of pt for my rotator problem 3 months...but it kept getting worse and worse. I quit pt and used arm lighlt to take care of myself but no more exercise and it got a lot better
Wheni use it it gets worse...shoveling is bad...but even filing hurts me now. Oh and vacuuming made it worse too
I do have a lot of arthritis in shoulders and collar bone too
Not much physical for me today...i slept late cuz was too sore to take etta to groom appt. A tree branch messed up my elec wires and the street lite blew and a transformet was involved. It was kinda scarey til we figutrd it out -firetruck came with sirens...and i walked around icey yard with them enough to really hurt my knee
So-i guss last night i did todsys exetcise and today i rested and did morr paperwork.
Poor etta is tooooo fuzzy...i think she will lose a lb when she finally gets her haircut
Its supposed to get warmer for the next five days but it sure looks awful down south. It must be a pain when the towns cant make the roads right
What happened to global warming?

I hope the link above will lead you to the new Budweiser Ad.
I was able to do the est 10 min walk in the forest this am and enjoy seeing Rosie so happy I was on my feet in the forest with her.
the birds were singing while I was out this am. That was an added treat.
And I got to see radar. A new puppy on the trail. he is just about as big as the dog htat is the same breed as he is that he travels with.
I don't know how old the older dog is...but I do know he has been traveling that trail years before I started down it.
Rosie and I started on it in 2007.
This is the guy who use to walk the trail in the dark and come back at dawn.
he no longer does that. He was just starting on the trial at 8:30 am and when I ahve seen him lately, he has always been with someone.
I know he had a fall awhile back and blacked out and then some how hiked the hour or so back to his car to get to the hospital.
Since then, I ahve not seen him out a alone on the trial or hiking it before dawn with his head lamp.
I wonder if I will every be able to do the loop. I hear it is beautiful. A mile to the fork in the road.
I think 3 hours to do the whole loop.
I'd like to just make it to the abandoned boys ranch and back...

See you all tomorrow!

Ak-enjoy your time off...hope the rest helps. My resp keeps gettin g. Better and worse-but never goes all the way away
The only physical exercise today was a 20 min talk with the guy who delivered propane...i stood the whole time and that was hard for me
But the way it is going i think i will put my taxes in the mail tomorrow ... and i also have 2 procedures ...it will be good to have them over with. No pain. I can drive myself.

Kam--sounds like you and Rosie are having great walks.
Kayak--seriously--your taxes are done? I am still waiting on 1099 DIV forms.
I did my shoulder exercises, but my legs were tired from actually teaching today after having Monday and Tuesday off for weather.

Able to do another walk in the forest this afternoon.
Went to the trial head and couldn't find a place to park.
So, went to another area close by. I wanted to see if I could still get to that trail head after all the blocking off they have done on the private land.
Not only could I get to it but someone had cut the barb wire fence...leaving a nice hole to walk thru.
I just walked the 5 min on the private land and back.
The other side of the fence is the National Forest area with some great trails made by the local bike club.
I would have liked to have gone further but good thing I didn't.
I had the cold thing going on on the way in the car and turned on the heater.
I had the hot thing going on on the way back and rolled the windows down to help cool off.

kam.. You are doing better now! Perhaps the biaxin was working against you? Glad you got to see your old friend and his dog!
AK.. How much snow did you get!?
hiker.. hope tomorrow is a better day with your legs and your shoulder. Don't overdo!
Kayak .. I think it would be a good idea to carry your phone with you. It wouldn't be that much "negative" exposure and the benefits could be life-saving.
I got out to the grocery store today and hubby and I went out to eat this evening. Pretty good food at the buffet.

Thursday-My first day at work. We had a whopping 3-4 inches of snow here. It's unheard of. What we couldn't deal with is the ice. We don't really have plows or salt so they just sand the bridges and hope for the best.
I didn't do a thing my 2 days off. Was a total couch potato and watched old movies. Loved it!
Good to read that you all are still getting things done and some exercise in. I hope it'll motivate me to get on my stair climber soon.
See you all tomorrow!

I showered, went to doc for two procedures-no fun but so far good news. Then went to pick up friend for quickie lunch and home . The extra walking and climbing was exercise
I was trying to get motivated to work on taxes and heater went crazy again. I called-the part was in so they fixed it....but after that i fell asleep in the chair and it seems all i want to do is sleep
I guess its ok to just give in for now.
Hope the rest did you good ak
I feel so bad for all those ppl stuck in cars over night in GA

No exercise today. I had a bit of trouble walking--no reason that I know of. Legs of lead.
My neighbor shoveled for me, so I did end up going to the grocery store. Expecting 4-7 inches of snow plus ice starting tomorrow. Ugh! At least the salt trucks are out here.
My sis-in-law in Atlanta drove halfway home from work Tuesday and it took her over 5 hours. She ended up staying with a friend over night. Needless to say she and my brother worked from home today.

After work have to go grocery shopping then home.

Saturday-Didn't get quite enough sleep so having to resort to coffee first thing this morning.
Got home late, around 10:30. Had to do my grocery shopping and now putting in a 9 hour day.
Have to get up early tomorrow to go to my Mom's and knock out the list of things to do the real estate agent gave us.
It's going to be an every weekend gig until we're through with the list.
I'm tired just thinking about it.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Lymetoo, Love the "old age" site!
Had an energy healing yesterday--working on my shoulder on nervous system. So, am taking it easy today except I did my shoulder exercises.
We had 4-5 inches of snow, plus a layer of ice. My neighbor cleaned the drive. I might try to scrape some of the ice off now. Wish I had salt of calcium chloride to put down to melt it.
Time to get out the yak tracks. More snow coming on Tuesday. What a winter.

Well i moved the body a little more than yesterday-up a nd down a lot to find tax papers-many texts back and forth with accountant...she is so good to me. I am so lucky to have her.
Also did one load laundry...some dishes...sat ouy with dog a few minutes-oh wait-i think that was yestetday
And about 5 a.m. i woke up dreaming there was a mouse messing with my foot under the covers so i got up-took all the bedding off piece by piece shaking it...and remade bed. Didnt see a mouse. I had two quilts, two blankets and a spread and flannel sheets. That was a lot of lifting for me
