A few months ago we were talking about urinary tract infections in the Medical forum, and somehow got on the subject of men with prostatitis. I mentioned that Stephen Buhner, the author of Healing Lyme herbal protocol book, had written a really good book about men's health and hormonal issues. It covers everything from cancer prevention to prostate issues to depression to testosterone levels testing and natural support for testosterone, along with thyroid, adrenal, and other things, and of course erectile dysfunction and libido issues. Some of what he recommends are herbs like saw palmetto and nettle root, he strongly discourages hops-containing beer and some estrogenic foods and herbs that are otherwise OK for women but not men in long-term use, and he has a lot of dietary advice for dealing with chronic issues such as fatigue and prostate issues and other common 'stuff'. The book is filled with good philosophical advice about getting older, as well, and it's geared towards the average person who doesn't necessarily have a background in health or herbalism.

A few months ago it was out of print and used copies were going for way too much money- it looks like it's back in print!

Thank you for sharing this book. I never heard of it and emailed information to a friend that is having prostrate problems.

Thank you [Smile]
