This morning my LLMD stated that due to my condition she believes it is best that I find an expert LLMD and recommended Dr. J in D.C.

From what I have read on this forum he is very aggressive and works a lot with IVs. My insurance company recently denied IV stating that there is no scientific data supporting it for Lyme.

I am feeling very ill at this point and need to find a doctor. I have a list of names and also considering one in Maryland.

So my question is, since I cannot afford to pay out of pocket for IVs, is Dr. J someone that I can realistically worth with?

Thanks for your feedback.

Hi MorningSong,

I'm hoping that more of Dr.J's patients will stop by to share their experiences with you. If your LLMD is recommending him, it might be a good idea to go ahead and make an appt.

I think that it is respectable for your LLMD to refer you on when they no longer have the experience to help you. A new doctor might be able to catch something that your current one missed. They may have a different approach that may be more effective for you.

Any good LLMD should be willing to work with you to find a reasonable treatment plan to address your needs within your budget. IV's are not the only option.

Hang in there MorningSong. With time and proper treatment you should get better. There is hope.

if you need a picc line, you need a picc line.

He Is expensive, but if you need to see him, in my opinion youre at a stage where there arent too many other options, unfortunately.

just my two cents....
