Or is it Lyme? I am really curious. Mood swings, irritability, weepiness, depression...paranoia...rage...irrational thinking...

I realize they can be from adrenal issues...(and just got myself a rebounder which is not yet put together)...but which co-infection would you generally associate these symptoms with?

Keeping in mind, I have Bart, Babs, Ehrlichia...and Lyme. (was kinda hoping one or more of these has been eradicated, but I don't know.)

I was reading an LLMDs blog yesterday, and he was talking about a patient who had horrible moods. They improved with IV Rocephin.

I wonder if I need to get back on the IV. I only did it for a month. But when I did it, I literally felt it working, I really felt like I could feel it killing the chetes in my brain.

Thanks. JL

Bartonella comes to mind... and/or toxins.

Lamictal helped most of those symptoms for me. I had a lot of moodiness, offended easily, fly off the handle easily, EXTREME irritability, all kinds of crazy stuff.

I think it was probably Bart for me. It's MUCH better now.

Zithromax WITH Plaquenil helped it in about 2 months or more I'd say with the psych symptoms. After that, I was able to stop my Lamictal, because I could just tell my mood was MUCH more stable.

Plaq helps Zith work better. The Plaq is important to the combo. Since Zith can work against Lyme and Bart, I'm not sure which infection was causing those symptoms, but I think it was Bart. But who knows. Coulda been Lyme.

Also, later on, Bactrim DS helped my brain cognitively, combined with Zith, though that's different than psych symptoms (the cognition aspect).

Depression I still get on and off.....depression might be different than the extreme irritability and mood swings/unstable-ness.
