I would love to visit Arizona. When I get better Arizona will be my first visit.
I love Poppies, one of my favorite flowers. When
I take a drive up to the Ga. mts. the
grassy area you know beside the highway?? has
beautiful poppies, red ones and orange. I would love to pick some, but the fine is too great.

I live 4 hours from the most beautiful white sandy beaches of the FL panhandle. No where in FL are the beaches this gorgeous. The sand is as white as a sheet, like Heaven white. The water is almost always crystal clear. And I love listening to the ocean waves hit the shore.
It is so peaceful there. Sometimes there are shells being washed up on shore and for some reason, picking them up is just so much fun. Kind of like looking for a treasure.
Also you can almost always spot a dolphin or two everyday.

Southern Girl...thanks for the beautiful cyber break. I could imagine myself being there...the smell of salt air, the sound of seagulls, the ocean breeze on my face, the sound the waves make.

Here is a list of the different state parks in San Luis Obispo County.
I have been to all of them several times while I lived there.

Diane...LOL..I use to love the bathtub too. I really miss it. Only a shower in the apartment i live in.
I use to love living in a house today...really dislike apartments.
But, thankful for a roof over my head that is within my budget right now.
Tried to look at pics from Montana de Oro but brain could only take in a few this morning.
for a short time, I was there in my mind.

Kam, I found this bathtub on google, but I couldn't paste it here for you...
It was a white claw foot tub on wheels, with a goose neck shower head and a steering wheel...
You could take that tub any where you wanted to go.

kam - A very unusual destination request from me and one that most wouldn't consider, unless they'd seen with their own eyes... Croatia!
Beautiful aqua colored water (Adriatic Sea) with green, green islands dotted atop it and likely more inland waterfalls than Hawaii! I kid you not. Where Eastern European flavor meets Italian influence and is still unspoiled by too much tourism (until now, maybe).
See what you can find. I so long to be there now! (Yes, the war is over and the rebuilding is magnificent!)

Ahhhh. kam, thank you so much! That's the Croatia National Park, in the interior of the country. Beautiful, yes?!
Croatia also has beaches, bounded by the same blue water you just saw, with little green islands (over 1,000!) just offshore. The coastline of the country is almost the entire length of the eastern side of the Adriatic. An amazing place.
ROAD TRIP!!!!!

Found this web page with pics from the Great Barrier Reef.
That was on my to do list when I was working. A fellow teacher went over there and had to get health care while she was there.
She said the health care system was so much better there than it was in the US.
It actually worked out better for her because she was fine but had doctor's orders she was not to fly home for a week...so got to stay another week.
She had a blood clot so they wanted to make sure she was OK before she got on the plane and sat for a long period of time. But, functioning wise she was still able to enjoy her time there.

Latley it has been sooo pretty outside that I have been able to take my lyme break outside and
get the warm sun on my face and the spring air up my nostrils.
So far...knock on wood allergies haven't hit me yet.

Diane...
I was thinking about getting outside more now too. In the past, I usually could only be in reclining camp chair for about 10 min.
So, trying to think of something that I can do to take my mind off of lyme while I am out...indoors I watch tv or am on the computer.
Glad you are able to take breaks outdoors now.

While channel surfing saw this guy talk whose grandmother got divorced and purchased a yacht and sailed around the world for 3 years over 100 years ago.
Thought that was pretty gutsy. Tried to find out who she was but found this site instead.
He mentioned how when he was born she was going through the panama canal and the across the Pacific for 50 or 60 days before seeing land again.
