I've tried everything to be alive again. The usualness of my husband saying, lets go somewhere, my son saying what are we eating tonight, I can't get me back in my own skin. I am usually an organized, excited person. I've been on treatment for mos, and nothing has come back except fear and emptiness. Have lyme and bart. I'm on antidepressants, iv, alot of meds for the conditions lyme has caused, but I also had a soul that was happy, excited and always ready and willling. The logicalness of my life seems to be gone and I don't know if I'm gonna get it back. There's been so much stress in the last months, but I have to get myself back to do what I have to for everyone. I am doing now, but I'm dead. Has this happened to anyone? I don't want pity, but life it so short, to waste everyday on feeling like this is so senseless. I just don't seem to have a choice now. Hope all feel better and if you are in a situtation like this, find peace. I miss my life, I'm sure all of you that feel this way and worse too. Peace.

Bless your heart. I feel some spirit in there trying to break thru the Lyme. I pray you catch

up to your heart- body and soul soon. For some this Lymie Road is long, but there is hope.

I am reposting this from Jessica Blog talking about her visit from Patch Adams. http://hopeforjessica.blogspot.com/search?updated-min=2010-01-01T00%3A00%3A00-05%3A00&updated-max=2011-01-01T00%3A00%3A00-05%3A00&max-results=5
I will say that he stayed with Jessica for at least 20 minutes. He really wanted to talk with her, hear her story, and connect with her. He then began to recite this poem by Emily Dickinson called "Hope Is The Thing With Feathers". In a strange coincidence, the quote for the day on Jessica's message board was all about Hope! Here is the poem he recited to her:

Hope

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune--without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

(Emily Dickinson defines hope by comparing it to a bird).

Sweetie...I do believe there is hope! I've seen sparks of it over the last several months...just a glimpse but I know I'm in here some place:) Yep..I'm tired of being tired but then I remember that now I can remember stuff that I couldn't several months ago. It's hard just existing...I know the feeling. I'm normally a person who wakes up happy every morning for no good reason [Smile] - I'm not depressed just no go gear!! I know it's around the corner...just not sure which corner.
