I'm more not here on LN than I am here. Even when here I can't seem to follow a storyline longer than a day or two, and am terrible at replying.

And, I'm sure I'm not the only one with those limitations. So, I'm keeping this one hello thread in one place going, and hoping for company here.

Hi Dilly! Just keep on checking us out. We all have ups and downs. But we are always here if you need us.

I,too, go for days without getting out of bed or doing anything at all. Most discouraging.

PM me if you need help for anything!

Hello, everyone! Great idea for a post...so we can just check in with each other, even if we don't have much to say!I have been absent lately, because I am on a new forum....this time, for diverticulitis! For the past month, that has been my new focus. Hate it! But I do still read posts here every few days or so.

Hi Dilly!

I'm kinda new here. Just hangin' out.

Lyme x20 years. Diagnosed x2 years. Pluggin' away...

If you're in the mood for some dark humor, I added a few of the most annoying pieces of advice I've ever received to the thread "Get a new bag" here in General Support.

Boxers are snoring. (It's those short snouts.)

Boxer Mom...wondered what was under the subject line of Getting a new bag

Hello Dilly and others.

Nice to recline or lie here next to your fire. Sugar free hot chocolate anyone?

Love the smell of wood burning in the fireplace and the sound.

I am getting ready to move to the handicap apartment down the hall.

Moving the first of the month. Doing what I can when I can to pack.

maintenance man here at the apartments will be moving me.

Diane-- wonderful days with family are one of the greatest gifts of all. I'm happy for you...

I'm going to be all the way gone for the next week. A major change in fortunes has given me a chance to escape by myself to the mountains and deserts of Arizona and NM. The quiet I find there has been the best medicine I've had in these past years.

Better yet, what our great news means is that we can afford to have me go back into treatment, after a year of simply not having the money to do that.

so, see y'all in awhile, and enjoy the fire.

Dilly, I am in AZ If you are in the neighborhood drop on in.

Good to hear the good news.

May be moving this week nor the weekend down the hall.

Been kind of out of it lately. Days are running together.

Will take the last of the amoxy today. Not sure how to get more at this point.

Doing what I can when I can towards packing. HOping I will be able to get on the kitchen floor and pack the lower shelves today and under the sink. That is a big tricky for me physically.

Housekeeper is coming tomorrow so she can change the bedding, empty the dishwasher, do the laundry, help me put the laundry away from 2 to 3 weeks ago.

thankful I have help with the actually moving part and the cleaning of both apartments will be taken care of.

Able to clean out the clutter in the glove box of the car and put my binder with registration and insurance card in.

First time since the car was donated to me in 2007.

MOst likely will add what ever was in the glove compartment to a junk box to be sorted out later.

Able to do little things here and there that were normal things before this hit.

Time to take Rosie out to toilet now via the power chair. Most likely will take her out via my pJ's and a coat as moving about to get dressed is not working yet this am.

[hi]

i'm baack.

let's ditch the fire concept, ok? it is so HOT here.

Arizona where i was never reached higher than 70 degrees, and it actually snowed 3 days out of the 7 i was there. felt nice.

best times of the trip:

--i almost stepped on a 2 foot long gila monster!! EEK!!!!!! and WOW!!!

--saw herds of elk...

---whole mountain sides covered with yellow and orange and pink and white spring desert flowers

---driving for hours on roads stretching forever with beautiful scenery everywhere and not seeing another car or another soul for those hours.

--taking short walks in ponderosa pine forests, along spring-melt crystal clear streams, in cracked-dry desert sands, in snow-covered alpine meadows with snow falling--- completely alone in every place, wind and trees rustling and bird calls the only sounds, ever, anywhere.

It was so peaceful; I could literally feel my nerves healing. The worst part of Lyme for me is not being able to tolerate more than one noise or thing happening at a time, which in a normal day means just about every hour of the day awake causes pain.

Looking now for a doc so that the everday is bearable again, but i am so grateful to have had the chance to heal myself for that week away...

speaking of docs-

please PM me, anyone, with suggestions for a great LLMD, on the East Coast (ideally, but not necessarily),

who uses abx as the core of treatment but who also knows about and can recommend supplemental stuff,

who has lots of experience and success treating long-term chronic Lyme and co's, and who may actually be accepting "new" patients...

thanks for any thoughts on this!

dilly...so glad you had such peaceful, pleasant times on your trip.

Warming up here. Supposed to be in the 80's this week.

so, yes...need to go with something like pool side or lake side or stream side meetings.

preferably with ice cream.

2nd week of getting settled in the handicap unit down the hall.

Hoping I will be able to unpack, sort and organize the boxes in the den this week so I can get the computer and outdoor power chair in the den.

I also would like to pot some plants.

Good to hear from you Maddog...even it is just a howdy.

Diane..it is beginning to be ice cream time around here. We had a warm week, then it went back to being cold for a week and now looks like a warm week again.

So, anyone know of a dairy free, gluten free, sugar free ice cream??
