i spoke to my one sister today and she told me that my other sister was in the hospital for diverticulitis for three days.
the doctor put her on abx and afterwards sent her home.
she told me that my sister is almost disabled from the abx and has never been so sick.
now i know she's never really taken any abx, so i'm thinking it's really LYME!!! she's had problems with high blood pressure and some other problems, but never would discuss lyme. she's also got a lot of skin tags, had melanoma cancer, other issues.
i asked what abx but she didn't know, but i'm willing to bet it's hitting the lyme and she's herxing like hell.
wanna bet???

Could be... just hope she is not on those nasty quinolones. They can just about kill you.
Now remember, you may just have to stay quiet on this. Say it once, IF at all, then be quiet! They won't listen anyway.
Hope she is better very soon!

That is exactly what happened to me. I thought I was allergic to several abx for most of my life only to find out it is lyme! Even had abx allergy tests to prove that I'm not allergic. I was herxing.
I don't think there are very many abx that don't hit lyme. I know keflex doesn't but many others do.
From what you've said in the past, she hasn't been willing to hear anything about lyme so maybe this will help open her mind a little to the possibility. I hope so.

well it doesn't take much to educate this ole girl, so i kept my big mouth shut and just said "well i hope she gets better".
hmm, after all, this is the one that wanted money for a birthday gift and hasn't spoken to me in over 2 years.

I recently had diver myself, and the Cipro caused the worst symptoms-the pharmacist suggested a replacement, and after a couple days I was much better......might just be the meds. Hope so.

Randibear, you did good sister!! I know it's hard to keep quiet when you know something, but sometimes it just doesn't pay to say anything.

That makes me wonder now-I was given zithro for an infection many years ago and started having a reaction to it-they thought I was allergic and stopped it immediately, but it was after the "spider" bite-huh?
I agree with previous poster, say it once- that one!
