The LLMD I contacted is not taking new patients, but the physicians assistant will see me!! I'm so glad & relieved. It only took them 2 hours to call me after I faxed all my labs to them. Thank God! They want me to cease Doxy until I see them so they can get an accurate Igenex test done. She assured me it was the most reliable they used & if I stay on the Doxy, it would interfere with the test. I'm a bit apprehensive about getting off the antibiotic, but I MUST have an accurate test. She said they would treat me as Lyme as soon after they draw the blood to get me back on regime. Whatever it takes, as long as I am associated with an LLMD. They definitely sounded Lyme literate & knew what they were talking about.
The local ID doc here in my area has had my labs since Friday & has yet to call me back after I called them twice. All his receptionist will tell me is, "We'll call you after he reviews your information" and "....he won't be able to see you until September..." All said in a very dismissive tone. Go figure.
