I spent part of the morning here trying to find some abstract (I think it was an abstract)...that said that Lyme utilizes cholesterol in its metabolism.Like you....I know it was mentioned somewhere. I had been thinking that maybe that was why some Lymies have low cholesterol.
Evidently cholesterol helps to fight inflammation and our body makes more when we have inflammation.Maybe there are two different scenerios with Lyme patients...some may have high cholesterol for a specific reason and others low?
On the DVD about the Oiling of America...Sally Fallon.....gave an example....Cholesterol is formed by the body to help certain disease situations so saying that cholesterol causes heart disease...because there is cholesterol in the area is like saying that because there are many firemen at a fire that they must have caused the fire. I thought that was VERY interesting. Oh ya....I can't find that abstract yet.
