My Vitamin D tested low, and I don't know which brand plus how much to take on a daily basis.

Anyone have a good brand they would recommend. I'm kind of afraid to just pick one from Walmart. I usually order from Vitacost but just don't know about brands of Vit D to choose.

I use Pure Encapsulations brand.

I can order it directly though, because I am a healthcare professional.

Otherwise I believe your Dr has to order it.

I had hormone testing and my dose is based on that result.

You should ask your LLMD how much to take.

I try to take supplements that are more pure, less fillers.

I buy Jarrow from Vitacost. Avoid Wal Mart's stuff.

I buy Carlson Vitamin D3 drops 2000 IU per drop from the health store. I am on a high dose and it works out to about $10/month for me. There is also a version that is 1000 IU per drop, if you need smaller doses, but the more concentrated one is cheaper overall.

Last time my vitamin D was checked, it was back up where my doctor wanted it, so it seems to be doing what it's supposed to do. I don't know how the quality compares to any other brands.

It is clear and has no taste, so I can put it on or in any food or drink.
