I think he has a lot of good info...but if he's selling something (and he usually IS!) then I take it with a grain of salt .. and I won't buy what he's selling.

He's right on when it comes to vaccines! [Cool]

Like Lymetoo said...alot of good info (maybe too much), but is always selling something. His products probably are of excellent quality, but very expensive.

Sometimes I feel like when I read Dr. Mercola I can't eat, drink, or even breathe. Everything is bad, bad, bad for you!! It is a full-time job plus overtime to do right by yourself, and boy, do you have to pay for it!

I get his newsletter and I actually dread opening it. Sometimes he has good articles, but there's something about him that turns me off.

I'm thinking about cancelling.

I personally don't trust him. He makes some assertions that are patently untrue in the attempt to push his products.

http://braintoniq.com/is-agave-bad-for-you-fallacy.php

Is a good example of someone taking Mercola's "arguments" against Agave line by line and exposing the fallacies thereof. In my opinion, he is what is wrong with "Alternative" medicine today - a supposed "expert" with "secrets they don't want you to know" about your health, pushing expensive products and warning that if you don't buy them you're going to poison yourself.

There ARE things that Mercola is right about, but they aren't secret breakthroughs attributed to him - its the work of others in the field. There are enough dangers to our health out there and I feel that physicians have a duty to inform and care, but fearmongering and questionable techniques only serve to discredit the "movement" as a whole and give traditionalists a platform to say "They're all scammers using bad science".

Traditionalists, as in those that use herbs, homeopathy, chinese medicine, ayurvedic medicine, acupuncture, etc?

How did western medicine and chemical medicine get the name traditional plastered to it?

I think "new medicine" or "modern medicine" are better terms.

Yeah I asked because I have mixed feelings. I though can understand if your going to start a site with a newsletter and advice that maybe you can offer a line of products. He does not have a TON of things so that is good.

There is an other doctor who has a site that he puts up his recommended products and sells them to the public and I actually kinda like that because I feel I will know that that person has (I assume) looked into the product or has created it themselves to be of the quality and safe form as they describe.

Otherwise sometimes when buying something I have to depend on many other things and do not always get that feeling. Maybe that is what they are making money one.>peoples feelings like mine.

Maybe though its really helping people and the products are worth it. Even the supplements and I was looking at the Chorella and he says its the best and cleanest and healthiest and he has evaluated and looked into it compared to just a random brand.

????

Or I could be being brainwashed and he is a con of some sort.? I do not think so but weirder things have happened..

I also agree with the comment that every he talks about seems to be dont do this dont do that and this is bad and that is bad and such.....
But there is a big world out there that has no clue and just maybe he is trying to break through that barrier.

Trying to give some benefit of the doubt.

Have you guys seen this site

http://www.sanovivstore.com/dr-wentz-publications.html

Its a store of the Sanoviv Clinics Doctor recommended products. I actually bought my Rife machine from that store.

He has rebounders and ozone machines and supplements and cleaning products and kitchen items and personal products and home air filters and other stuff.

Again not a ton but his recommendations.

Oh I bought my Healthmate Air Filter too and I noticed he added the Light Relief product that I like and have..

So kinda cool to look through and good products..

I feel overwhelmed by everything he says. If I were to actually take his advice, I'd live in an air sealed box and die from the contradictions.

He affects me the same way. Anytime someone gives advice, alternative or otherwise, then attaches a bunch of stuff they want to sell, I'm suspicious.

So for me, I gave up reading his stuff because it's too hard to discern what's legit and what's not.
