I'm fairly new to this group, considering how long some of you have been here.
Fairly new to my diagnosis of Lyme also...3 months, though I've had the disease for two years. I remember the tick bite but was pregnant at the time and my doctor said the pregnancy was the reason for my symptoms.
But, this post isn't about the disease. Not really, anyway.
I wanted to just officially say hello and thank you to everyone who has answered my posts and send me PM's.
I literally thank God for this group. Because of this group I found my doctor and loads of support.
Most of my family and friends don't "get it", so having people who do means all the world to me.
I've got three wonderful little boys, a sweet husband who supports me to the ends of the earth and back and some family and friends who are encouraging!
I know that, because of insurance companies that sometimes troll this site and others, we aren't encouraged to share our name, or other personal information that could have us called out... which is a bummer!
But you can call me Nell...it's my nick name and on none of my legal, or insurance information.
It is nice to meet you. I hope to be able to contribute and be of great support to those of you who need it...even if I might not be able to offer much medical advice at the moment. I'm still so new and learning so much every day.
But I have rock solid faith and a great pair of shoulders, should you ever need to lean on them.
Oh and something I'm pretty proud of to share. Even though I'm loaded down with symptoms of this disease, I decided today I would not let it steal today from me.
We loaded up the whole family and my inlaws and went out to a pumpkin patch and had so much fun. Animals and horse rides and hay rides and great food. I'm glad I went. I felt wiped when I got home but I decided it wasn't going to get the better of me today.
And boy, is that a day by day decision!
Once again, thanks for bringing me into the fold here.
(Pictures... if they are permitted!)
My muscles burned and shook as I walked through the maze of people and activities but I took my time and did it!
I was easy to my body, not pushing it further than I should, but I didn't let Lyme win today!
And through that, we all created a beautiful memory today...
