Hi,

I know that unexplained milk production is a symptom of lyme. I have this, as I found out from my PCP when I went to her because my right breast felt painful and "heavy." She didnt seem concerned. I am being treated also by an LLMD who I also informed of this, but my breast has become very inflamed since then.
My pcp is going to refer me to a breast specialist. I also had a breast ultrasound which didnt show anything except a tiny benign cyst, and I know I am obsessing over this but I just feel so scared regarding all of the strange happenings in my body.
Has ANYONE else experienced breast inflammation???
Please advise! Thank you!

i get breast swelling often. they swell up a week before my period, like clockwork. there are also a lot of lumps in there, its lymph congestion.

I would suggest that you cut back on wearing underwire bra when they swell up. i dont know, is swelling and inflammation the same thing? Maybe you have a diff symptom than i'm thinking of. I don't produce milk that I'm aware of anyway.

Mine feel full and tender and they just plain hurt. It also happens, for me, if i don't detox fast enuf (releasing a lot of junk into the lymph system and not getting it out fast enuf).

Just some thoughts. Sounds like a hormonal upset of some kind.

Unexplained lactation can be due to a growth on the pituitary gland.

Lyme causes disruption of the HPA axis (hypothalamus - pituitary - adrenal glands) and many people with Lyme have endocrine gland problems.

I had breast inflammation at one point, which I treated with hot soaks.

One of my biggest/most painful symptoms is breast pain (I have no discharge/milk). I have dense, fibrocystic breasts. I am 46 so I am sure alot is hormonal. I see a breast specialist and my mammo/ultrasound last month were normal.
Usually my left breast is the problem and it is not just cyclic.

The pain is excruciating at times with burning pain (that I call my "shingles" pain) that radiates around to my left shoulder blade.

Before my lyme diagnosis my breast dr. said it sounded like fibromyalgia.

She said not to wear underwear bras, stay away from caffeine, no high fat, Vit E she said to be helpful along with evening primrose oil. Vit E did nothing for me.

My LLMD just told me that iodine is said to be good for fibrocytic breasts-I am going to try it.

My breasts have painful lumps that come and go.

I also have been getting left outer breast pain that goes to arm pit and down entire brachial lymph tract to elbow. My lymphnodes are not enlarged, but they are sore.

Some times the pain is so bad, that I have to lie down in bed w/ a heating pad on and that helps a great deal.

i use the Lymphstar Pro on myself. there are people around that have the machine who may be able to work on you. it liquefies clogged lymph so that it can more easily move out of the body.

Cory Carter's technique has been helpful for me, he just happened to be in my state! His wife had breast cancer. The machine didn't cure her of the cancer but it significantly helped her heal. Even the medical doctor was shocked at all of the new tissue growth that occurred after they literally had to drain her breast of 32 oz of fluid. Usually they see dead and damaged tissues at that stage.
